  • @xhxntxrx Well you're thinking of back in WWII when were fighting more... Professionally trained enemies. Insurgents don't always recognize the Geneva Convention and will fire upon any and all troops in sight. And for that reason, Combat Medics tend to no longer wear the classic Red Cross insignia anymore. Today a Combat Medic is hard to distinguish from a regular soldier aside from their slightly larger carrying load. (Medicinal supplies and such.)

  • Yes..snipers in iraq and afghanistan TARGET and look for the medics. They recognize our aid bags. And yes it is a war crime to kill a medic. We carry weapons to protect ourself and our patient. However we cannot use our weapons offensively or we will lose our geneva conventions protection. They spend half a day in ait going over the geneva convention.

  • can combat medics be targeted by the enemy ? is it a war crime ? im just saying because they carry weapon...

  • I am a 68w combat medic and wouldn't change it for the world. i am currently stationed in Afghanistan and don't really mind it.

  • Like to play m83 midnight life over this video, works really well when you play it from 0:06

  • I am a Combat Medic and proud of it!!! Currently stationed at Fort Bragg, NC

  • MUSIC GAY ASS SHIT

  • @shadowwolfHITSQUADtv thats not the point ..... TRIBUTE , NOT MUSIC RATING

  • Awesome videos! Combat medics are true elite soldiers and true angels of the battlefield.

Greetings from a Swiss combat medic thats now saving fallen comrades in the deep snow! =)

  • @mikehatesgayassford i leave march 5th..goin to ft sill

  • I've been combat medic in IDF for 2.3 years and i very proud to serve in this position. I'm sharing the proud of every people on this video and the all combat medic all over the world...

  • @Kfirfighter I have a question : What do you have to do in order to become a Combat medic , or what for qualifications are requiered ? Would be pleased if you´d answer =)

  • @Wrongstatementsclear firstly i've drafted to army. Secondly when i was in first steps in army i checked this point at home set with myself and though if this really what i want. Have you a Skype or Facebook account to speaking there. I prefer to no speaking here/

  • @Kfirfighter well we can talk on her via messaging .. would that be okay ?

  • i scored a 90 on the asvab with a score of 125 cant wait to b a medic.. leaving in march

  • @845pauko im leaving march too ;O and im 68w when u leave?

  • Another good picture-compilation ruined by wrong music.

  • Does anyone know the name of this song?

  • do you have to have a year of chemistry to be able to get this MOS or does it all depend on the asvab?!

  • @ponchie411 its asvab score dependent. If you have an EMT certification that is not expired, it will make your training a little faster. Chemistry is not a prereq for this job. If you dont have an EMT cert. you will get it through the army. Its the only MOS in the military that requires a civilian certification.

  • @lobeking whats the minimum score to be a medic

  • @masterchiefjoe 110

  • @lobeking thank you for the score it sounds high though

  • Being an Army Medic myself and then coming out of the military on the civilian side the medics in the military primarily the army are EONS and EONS ahead with their knowledge and practical skills compared to these civilian medics

  • @usernameofBoang

But the british medics wear them. We (Irish) wear a 'combatised' version in drab green and black. Even though your enemy has no respect for the rules, you still represent medics who wear the cross. Maybe your instructors might think about this. Oh and I've had an insurgent combatant die in my arms in theatre.

  • What about all of the British medics in your film? Why don't US combat medics wear the Geneva Cross like the rest of the combat medics in the world? Does the US still believe in the Geneva Conventions? Awkward questions.

  • @starlightp21 Our instructors told of horror stories of medics with the red cross patch and their medevac being targeted by snipers in Iraq and Afghanistan. One of my sergeants was shot by an Iraqi insurgent but the sniper was injured and he had to treat him. The Iraqi insurgents and Taliban don't respect Geneva Convention anyway.

  • @starlightp21 We are not allowed to wear the cross on our shoulder due to it causing us to be a primary target for the enemy.

  • @starlightp21 i would but i dont want to be sniped. and most medics going outside of the bases dont wear it for the same reason.thats also why ambulances dont leave the bases either. if the enemy ID's a medic the go after them first.

  • @starlightp21 We believe in the GC. The Taliban however do not, and love to take out medics.

  • 68Whiskey!!! Hooah I leave in june for basic and I start medic training in august =D

  • The guy at 0:27 is Joseph Patrick Dwyer, he died after dealing with PTSD for a long time.

  • what is the name of the song

  • Not a single dislike. Outstanding! ^-^

  • nice video and all my respect and prayers are with the us armed forces but the music is so WRONG

  • @kuilan21 hey, I'm gonna be a medic. Do the guys really don't mess with you? Or any medic? Plus, what are the chances staying on a naval ship? Cause...I don't wanna be on a ship. Haha :)

  • I'm an Army medic (68W) and I have to say... Interesting choice of music... lol

  • @battygirl31 I'm lined up for that same MOS.

  • @Blakeboon nice, bro, good luck. are you active/guard/reserve? when is your ship date?

  • @battygirl31 I will be going Guard for a while. I hit a bump with the surgery I had to remove a cyst over my spine so I don't have a shipdate yet though, I'll have to get back to you on that one. haha

  • @Blakeboon aw, that sucks, dude! well, i'll prolly be downrange by the time you get squared away enough to ship so good luck!!

  • @battygirl31 Hooah to that, watch your back because I don't want to have to be fixing it. haha.

  • @Blakeboon haha hooah, guy, roger that

  • I have to say for my experience so far in the Army being a medic is a great responsibility especially if your in a line unit. You have to do the infantry job plus know your stuff and the guys are really counting on you. Don't worry though if you are accepted into the brotherhood you are very highly respected and no infantry man will dare mess with you I promise you that unless your lazy and irresponsible. Medic is a great stepping stone to many things. God Bless and if any questions see me.

  • My MOS going to basic 20110104 ft.sill then ft. sam houston for AIT

  • @bimboy08 I'm a combat medic, went to ft. sill for basic and just graduated AIT... a few tips... don't stress, you'll know more then you think you know. The emt test, don't overthink it, that's how people fail. Last of all, have fun... when it sucks, it sucks, but in the end it's worth it.

  • Good Luck thats exactly where I went and I am a combat medic today. Have fun very good training. You will be very well respected especially by the infantry men because they are counting on you. It is a great job but probably the most responsible mos to have in the Army trust me on that. By the way if you really like it look into further things such as Ranger Medic SF medic or anything in the medical field it is a great stepping stone.

  • Music is not for this video, seriously...

  • doc 4 2scr afgan pray for him

  • At 0:58, check out the shoulder of the dude in the foreground on the right side... Special Forces AND Ranger AND 3rd ID patch... THAT's what I'm talkin bout HOOAH

  • songs hella gay

  • Medics, chicks like me (CMA's) are thankful for guys like y'all!

  • To the 91 Boos in Iraq and Afghanistan,

From an old 91B / 18D in the US.

    Rock solid, gentlemen

  • I think combat medic is much tougher than paramedics that work on an ambulance, they need to fight, and at the same time, to handle causalities on the battlefield. I'm not sure, but this is what i think. They deserved our respect and salutation.

  • @MrQuackism it's not the same job. the scope of practice for a combat medic is large compared to a street medic. both important jobs but in the warzone its very different.

  • The medic is a soldier first but always there when a fellow soldier needs them. I'm Proud of my Medic son serving in Iraq and all the other medics and corpmen out there. Thank you all for sending our soldiers back to us without you things would not turn out well for anyone. God Bless You All!! Hooah!!!!!!!

  • *Corpsman

  • @medicsmomhooah hope your son is doing well there or has already come back! Greetngs from a Swiss Combat Medic !
