Really nice. It's good see someone with moderate means make something so nice. Some of these rich guys spend like $100,000 on parts alone, or more. Nice to see people that can fabricate most of their own stuff and use their own skills.
Have you ever notice when you watch a movie nowadays and you happen to see an old rusty pick up truck? It's always a ford 1977-78 or 79...ALWAYS. Because chevy's are all dead. And we won't talk about dodge won't we?
powerstrokes were good when they were international, the new ones are just junk they are having too many problems, if im buying a truck with a reliable engine, it will be a cummins
im tired of hearing strokes are better than cummins or vice versa everybody has an opinion and my opinion is that strokes are awesome but im not saying that they are better than anything
my dad has an f450 tow truck, i think its a 95 or a 96, its got a 7.3 in it and it hit the million km club awhile back and it doesnt even need a tranny yet, runs like a champ and still has lots of power. 7.3's are an unreal motor
@Leafsrule016 excellent. ive maintained one here in the US. thats hit a million miles. sometimescan be cold natured. but hasnt let its owner down yet.
@yamahonkawazuki yeah, my dad's is a canadian truck so its in km so you have like another 600,000 on me. The motors are tough as nails though for sure, pisses me off the new ford diesels are so shitty... should have kept 7.3's
@Leafsrule016 still dads accomplishment is pretty damned good. canada weather isnt exactly pleasant on car engines lol. have a 6.0 that well truck is on second engine now. ODO shows 144k mi. on a 7.3 would just be breaking it in at that point. if/when that 6.0 goes south again, am going to pull it and build it the way ford SHOULD have. BTW im wondering is the 7.3 were both used to the same one thats in daves bus?, i think his is a navistar but still
@yamahonkawazuki as far as i know, it was used as ford's basically only diesel till the 6.0 came along and ruined powerstrokes name. The 7.3 was about even with cummings and it seemed a domestic finally made there own engine that could run with the cummings but guess ford had to kill that... should have kept the 7.3 with some minor upgrades, the new motors when there running dont pull any harder or anything...
@Leafsrule016 agreed. if i recall some of the early or hell maybe all of the 7.3's didnt have a turbo? maybe some did. but many i didnt hear a turbo whistle. i agree tho update something that works. instead of trading it for something many consider dodgy
@yamahonkawazuki ALL 7.3 ( DI engines had turbos ) it was some of the early IDI 7.3 & older 6.9s that where without turbo still mighty fine engines though .
everyone on youtube that argues or has to say some dumb shit to any video is dumb as fuck like your either a nigger or fagget or nerd that hasnt ever seen a life past his computer

Live and let live...
I'm a liberal hippy (huge diesel truck fan tho) and I HATE liberal hippies!!! They are the stupidest, most conforming, yet hypocritically mind-less & INTOLERANT people I've met.
They preach TOLERANCE, then they are JUDGEMENTAL and INTOLERANT of anyone who doesn't fit their image of what a "conscious" person is.
Meanwhile their Priuses are ruining the planet worse than any truck!
hey just wondering how do the axles u are running in your truck seem to hold up i got the same set and didnt know how good they actually are i plan on running 46 inch tires. you got more power and torqe than i plan on running but just wanted to get your opinion on them thanx
If it's a JOKE, then WHY ARE ALMOST ALL AMBULANCES FORD POWERSTROKE DIESELS? Isn't that an indication of reliability? Companies that contract ambulance manufacturers shop around and do quality testing to see who has the best rig. Notice you have NEVER SEEN A CUMMINS-POWERED AMBULANCE? It's either a GM with a Detroit, or a Ford with the PowerStroke. Just stating facts....

@bronco102910 Cummins engines have a good reputation. Dodge has been using Cummins engines in it's pickups for a long ass time. There are plenty of old Ford and Chevy heavy duty trucks that are Cummins powered. Think before you post comments on Youtube.
Sad... and sorry... such a great truck but a v8 power joke.... yeah, while stock as in 225k miles be great but i think i would choose a super early 24v cummins(350+k).... Id put it in a poor ole geo (Retro) then a truck... sorrry. My point of view. ;-}
@fordalltheway1 powerstrokes are great if you have deep enough pockets to tune them and buy performance parts for im broke soo a 6.9 wit a ATS turbo and cranked up fuel pump is my game a turbo 6.9 will beat a chipped powerstroke all day and cost under 1500 to build
@starionboi If it's a JOKE, then WHY ARE ALL AMBULANCES FORD POWERSTROKE DIESELS? Isn't that an indication of reliability/quality? Companies that contract ambulance manufacturers shop around and do quality testing to see who has the best rig. You ever notice that there ISN'T A SINGLE CUMMINS-POWERED AMBULANCE ANYWHERE? It's mostly POWERSTROKES, with a few DETROIT DIESEL(GM)s thrown in here and there.... just stating FACTS... =)
Man I read some of the posts on here, it is absolutely amazing the quantity of dumb ass's there is running amongst us. I would have to say more than 3/4 of the people commenting 1- dont own a 4x4...2- never went mud riding and 3- couldnt afford one tire on that truck, let alone the trailer, and tow vehicle. I have to say that is one hell of a truck, i appreciate the craftsmanship, and the concept. All you other dumb asses, quit reciting what you've heard you're other dumb ass friends saying.
@Rooster1ify Yes alot of them are full of shit . i have the same runing gears with 58inch tires on them. came of a skider. hade to make the rims work by cuting them and welding them back. thay set under a 1986 chevey truck. to who owns this truck (( fuck them it looks good))
i had a 05 6.0 automatic, head gasket blew and motor blew 88K miles, constantly in the shop for some stupid reason.. im in construction and it was a nightmare truck for me... ran great and hard when it did, it just gave me way too many problems,
my co-workers 04 6.0 died at 112K miles... you can add those 2 together and i had 2x that many miles on my 03 7.3L that i had, sold it in 07 with almost 400K on it and still got 15K for it... im just saying that ford quit that motor for a reason..
i want that truck

Compensation?? That's the oldest and lamest, bogus stereotype in existence.

@bronco102910 cummins is used by dodge 2 u fuckin idiot
fordalltheway1 1 year ago
@bronco102910 Cummins engines have a good reputation. Dodge has been using Cummins engines in it's pickups for a long ass time. There are plenty of old Ford and Chevy heavy duty trucks that are Cummins powered. Think before you post comments on Youtube.

eh im gunna have to say id take a 6.6 duramax over the power choke or the cummins

Sad... and sorry... such a great truck but a v8 power joke.... yeah, while stock as in 225k miles be great but i think i would choose a super early 24v cummins(350+k).... Id put it in a poor ole geo (Retro) then a truck... sorrry. My point of view. ;-}
starionboi 1 year ago
@starionboi 6.9idi 7.3idi and 7.3 powerstrokes are just as good as the cummins just depends do you want a v8 or an inline 6
CrackinVTEC666 1 year ago
@CrackinVTEC666 7.3 powerstoke all the way, FORD MAKES IT 7.3 POWERSTOKE SHAKES IT lol
fordalltheway1 1 year ago
@fordalltheway1 powerstrokes are great if you have deep enough pockets to tune them and buy performance parts for im broke soo a 6.9 wit a ATS turbo and cranked up fuel pump is my game a turbo 6.9 will beat a chipped powerstroke all day and cost under 1500 to build

@starionboi I prefer 12V Cummins over anything, but a 7.3 is still a good motor!

Rooster1ify 1 year ago
