The song "Luv" in this commercial was written by Alan Hawkshaw and Ray Cameron. A band called Mint released a version of it on 45 in the U.K. in '69 on the Tangerine label.

I remember this advert from my childhood days, long before I'd heard of Bowie. The ad gets a mention in George Tremletts book on Bowie from the early 70's. This is the first time I've seen it since the 60's..thanks to the wonders of modern technology.Thanks for posting ziggiestarlett.

The book "David Bowie, an Illustrated Record" has stills from this commercial where Bowie is clearly visible. Otherwise it's next to impossible to spot him. But he's there.

@BowieGirley He's also running up the steps of the double decker bus holding a bunch of ice cream bars in his hands, a still frame was published in the old book "David Bowie:The Illustrated Record" by Roy Carr & Charles Shaaar Murray.
