I've always loved this song.. Noel Harrisons was too fast and this one is too slow for me.. lol.. IMO... i'm still looking for a perfect version for myself.

some constructive criticism: the voices are nice, but they fail to capture the volatility of the original -- too many stops with almost complete silence. if you could manage to somehow do quiet but still softly audible 'backgroundvocally' transitions to connect the phrases, the abruptness that kinda kicks you out of the flow at every pause will evaporate, the song will be whole again and you'd have created a very good cover version.

It's a good interpretation, but somehow it doesn't work with McQueen's images. The original had an element of cool in it which worked very well with McQ. Nice pics though.

@RedwoodTheElf hate to disagree with you but I'm pretty sure the original is french "Les Moulin de mon Coeur" by Michel Legrand. I'm not sure if he was singing it back in the 60s but I am 10000% sure he composed it and sang it frequently in french.

Could you have a more appropriate name?

1) Michel Legrand wrote the score for "The Thomas Crown Affair" - IN ENGLISH. He only converted the song to French later. Thus, the version Noel Harrison sings in the movie is, in fact, the original, as I stated.

2) I was talking about the SINGER, not the WRITER.

3) You can only ever have 100% of anything.

Pierce Brosnan a favorite from his Remington Steele days..The movie, I felt did not need Renee to be so revealing i.e. topless. TCAffair could have been classier, truly more romantic without including some unneeded scenes which was just unbecoming for both Pierce & Renee. This SONG is an old favorite & the clip quite nice.

i find Faye to be much much more attractive and mysterious at the same time then Rene. Faye has that " je ne sais quoi" ( don't know if i wrote correctly) that the french say. Shes pure and simple magnificent. !!!

I've seen BOTH versions of the movie and it's a tough call. BUT I suppose I have to give the better performance to the originals Steve and Faye. While I enjoyed the newer one with Pierce and what's her name...LOL (sorry her name escapes me at the moment) The original was better. Not to mention the music.

Yes, it's always been the original as the much better version but I prepare Rene Russo more than Faye Dunaway. Rene attracts me more especially with this film where she bares naked with Pierce.

Lettermen released CDs are... Collectors Series, Complete Hits 1&2 & Live In The Philippines. I copy for you Love Is All Album and rest of my collective mp3s from Limewire, if you like? Hope he can watch the concert on July 3. How many days will be his vacation? Pray, Dyna records will return all Lettermen albums to CD.I'm sure,it's worth buying for. Araneta is a far more modern now, gone are the days of Rustan's and Farmers.Cubao Plaza. You will enjoy it I'm sure.

Yeah, as usual your the first to comment in all my posting and I love it. By the way, The Lettermen concert here in the Philippines will push through on July 3-6, 2008. Surely I will watch them on the 3rd at Araneta Coliseum. But this time they will perform back to back with Uptown of The Spiral Staircase, meaning we will hear less of Lettermen songs. Just hope they brought the best materials for the show. The good news is, I'll watch the show for you, friend!
