  • they had a sound that could never be replicated....I could close my eyes and let this one play forever.

  • 1991, coliseu do porto(portugal) 4 encore it was beautiful...miss those times so much......dr who fone number???? anyone??? please....

  • This song reminds me a lot of Age Of Consent by New Order. Look it up and tell me if you agree. (I am in no way calling this a ripoff).

  • @Polyfusia Both songs are different, but they have the "80s" escence....

  • really good live recording. Timeless beautiful and poetic.

  • 1000DRUMZ

As a young man, and a "Cocteau Twin" fan from the early 1980's, I somehow

imagined that I was hearing melodies and rythms reminiscent of a celtic

lullaby, or sometimes what I imagined to be a Druidical rite! I thought these

things years before I became aware of the bands "Caledonian" origins!

  • @blainebill39 wot you fuckin talkin about shes fuckin beautiful and brilliant music man

  • @boardy777777

I'm a bit confused my friend. I've adored the "Cocteau Twins", for

almost 30 years. What could I have posibly said that you find objectionable?

    Blaine

  • @boardy777777

Again my friend, you puzzle me. I've loved Elizabeth Fraser for almost

30 years! I believe her to have one of the most unique voices ever, and

    her talent is unasailable!

    Blaine

  • I cry with this, goooooooooooood goddddddddd what a song!!!!!! robie best guitar player ever!

  • What a voice, wonder what they would make of this on the x factor lol

  • The sound of the bass guitar on this track is simply amazing. Peter Hook, Steve Severin, and Simon Raymonde captured such amazing tones with their distorted basses. Beautiful.

  • @dogmart agree with all three....Simon Gallup as well

  • Hooray! I am 12 years old again. God bless the Cocteau Twins for helping me through a crazy adolescence - Liz Fraser forever - pearly dewdrops drop!

  • this group are one of my favourets could lisen to this for ever and have bin since the 80ts brill

  • fuckin outstandin..!!!

  • harmony, voice and melody, great!

  • Fucking Brilliant

  • @sergie1969 good ah

  • great.

  • Liz's voice is amazing.

  • Just wonderful...my favorite forever!

  • Definitive.

  • Thank YOU! LOVE the Cocteau Twins. But I am glad they stopped when they did. Such an under rated band.

  • She's a tiny fun bundle (3'13")

  • @lagowski 3.13 yes!

  • there's one thing i don't like very much in cocteau twins studio recordings. liz's voice is mixed too low and with too much reverb IMO.and that's a real pity, 'cause their music is terrific. that's why i like so much live performances like this one where we can hear all the colors and appreciate how she plays with it.

  • there is absolutley no one in this world with a voice that can compare to Liz's. this is brilliant!!!

  • thanx for this masterpiece. do you have the whole show?

  • Underrated genious! One the greatest band ever

  • precious performance, here

  • watched this again over 10 times still so magical onad inspirational melodic and addictive. Still as individual and unique

  • Dude....been a fan of Cocteau Twins for almost 20yrs somehow should have enlightened you in their nationality.

  • hey man you dont have to know where a band is from to totaly enjoy them

  • Excellent song from a great band.

  • simple and beautifull !!

  • 1 of the best songs of the eighties, pity they didn't get the commercial success they deserved.

  • 3.11 what a little minx!

    Love this woman

  • @jinny68 If you liked her smile there you should check out Millimillenary, same concert, on here :O))

  • @jinny68 the 1000DRUMZ version (much better quality too) smile at 01:57 beautiful

  • @jinny68 the 1000DRUMZ version,of Millimillionary-same gig- (much better quality too) smile at 01:57 beautiful

  • there must be something in the air in sweden, which made liz fraser delivered a top notched live performance. i have often been disappointed seeing and hearing her live, but here she really delivered vocally. any chance you may have videos of dead can dance's live performance in stockholm from 1984 and bel canto's dewy fields.

  • I agree this and Millimillenary from sweden are incrediblae vocally.

  • And, I would say, musically!

  • straight teeth bad teeth wot the hell... gr8 music

  • i am on my knees....

  • b.t.w barrycw1, F.Y.I. what Liz has is a diastima, so does Madonna (please dont think I am comparing the two in anyother way, Please!), and so do I as do many other beautiful people. There is a difference between unstraight teeth and a diastima. and despite what you may think, I got it all off my chest quite nicely. Thank you.

    : )

  • She shows a hint a a little smile at 3.13 into the song.

    Great Video.

  • Santohassong apparently likes arguing about "nothing". Liz has beautiful unstraight teeth and is musically incarnate beauty, therefore my love. BTW, this is no place to clear your chest or empty head.

  • Hi barrycw1, I wasn't arguing at all. simply stateing a point of view. I still think her teeth are lovely...and her voice...her face...all of her....glad you enjoy her too.

  • 1000DRUMZ great video, thanks for posting.

  • 100drumz you are a (5)star poster! Fantastic video. What a sound, what a song, what a voice. Sounds awesome live

  • 'Ere, I was going to say that!

  • Oh joy! CT on youtube who woulda thunk! thanks a bunch!

  • A million thank yous for this and "Millimillenary" - I'm thrilled!

  • barrycw1 posted"I am in love with Elizabeth, bad teeth and all" well she has lovely teeth, they are straight and pearly white.

  • continuation of response to barrycw1...just because they arent identical to the big horse teeth that models flash on magazine covers doesn't mean that Liz's are any less beautiful.why are people so easily influenced by what is popular as opposed to being influenced by what their hearts and eyes know to be beautiful? Greatfully most cocteau fans are quite capable of enjoying what is real as opposed to what is widely accepted as "cool". *clears throat* glad it's off my chest.

  • I notice that on the stage, whether in live concerts like this, or on their music videos, they always feature the reel to reel. Is this symbolic or is part of what makes up Cocteau Twins' sound, what's playing on the reel to reel? Can anyone answer this?

  • It's the drum machine backing track.

  • Yeah, the way I remember them sounding!

  • holy sh*t! this is part of the cocteau twins holy grail.

now all i need is clips from the blue bell knoll tour...

  • Excellent, I would love to see this hole set.

Thanks so much for sharing this great footage.

  • Look what happened with all the excitement of seeing new live stuff, i go and spell whole wrong XD

  • Muchisimas gracias. Que preciosa...

  • What a stunning video! It's so special to hear, even see, CT live!!! Thanks so much for putting these up!

  • this is great.

  • WOW! You've totally made my day. Every week I type "Cocteau Twins" in the search field hoping to find something like this. I'd rate it 100 starts if possible.

  • Uhuuuu!!! Como queria estar lá.
