  • 2:36 - 3:02 what the heck, man. Henry & AJ!

I think it's safe to compare them to Petrucci & Myung. Awesome musicians.

  • what i wouldnt give to see them live again

  • he has a better sing voice but when he trys to make it deep it sounds not good. like dracula or something along those lines

  • i just saw them live a few hours ago. and i almost shit myseld. his voice is sooo fucking amazing! ONLY complaint i have is with the lead guitar player. he needs to quit with the ridiculous non stop soloing. it gets kinda out of hand. hahah

  • @skamylee that's their signature sound lol. and it's not non-stop soloing, it just sounds like it.

  • @skamylee yeah bro, AJ is the lead guitarist, and he composed all the songs himself. He studied under William Kanengiser, and is in my opinion the greatest modern guitarist. So of course he is going to non stop solo, he is doing stuff that people don't even realize. Like I'm pretty sure this song was written with a whole tone scale, meaning it's not in a key except of itself.

  • @shredyourfaceoff42 i think that holographic sight was the one written in whole tone scale. its a lot more experimental.

  • @F4RB3YONDM3T4L you're right man, I realized that as soon as I posted this. lol He used whole tone scale on holographic sight and the octatonic scale on digital veil.

  • @shredyourfaceoff42 none of it is original. he's playing common practice music. and its all in harmonic minor. no whole tone, bro. And as for his technique, he hasn't done one thing that Paul Gilbert, Yngwie Malmsteen and Jason Becker didn't do 30 years ago, but they did it with style. Btw brodawg, common practice music writes itself if you know theory.

  • @skamylee Its not non stop soloing. sure there are some solos in there. a lot at that. Not too many though. he just makes the music complicated so it might look like a solo to the untrained eye, but isnt one.

  • @skamylee

agreed, except the did manage to keep me headbanging with a song that was constant-sweeping. So, cheers to them, haha...

  • Lol, that's the same outfit he wore when I saw them in San Antonio... And he did a great job there too.

  • He sounded kinda lame on some stuff honestly, but he KILLS this one for sure. Better than the album, as far as I'm concerned.

  • Ryan is so fucking amazing. I got chills through the entire video.
