Some weapons you can only buy, some you can only find and pick up, and some weapons can only be unlocked by beating the game in a certain way. I haven't played the HD collection, only the original PS2 versions, so I can't help answer that.

Never select "New Game." Instead select "Continue Game" and load the file "New Game +" ... you have to have saved the file after the credits though.

I love all the weapons here, but I do have some complaints. 1) There's no G36. That's totally a weapon I'd see being well adopted in future warfare. 2) The Five seveN doesn't have a surpressor. It's a bummer. 3) Supressors are degradable. I've learned to deal with it, but I think it'd be cooler if not. But keep the option of having one or not. And 4) THE SUPRESSERS AND ATTACHMENTS DISAPPEAR IN CUTSCENES!! All but the forth one are not that bad, and I understand there may be misspellings.

You start a New Game Plus to carry over your weapons.

When you beat the game, after the final cutscene and stuff it'll show you your game complete screen, and it will ask you if you want to save. You have to save, which creates a New Game Plus (NG+) file. From the main menu you should be able to then select Continue Game and load the NG+ file. I hope that helps :)

I like how this game has the most realistic weapons physics and power, yet people look at Modern Warfare 2 and think that that's what guns are like. Here's a hint: The Desert Eagle is NOT THE BEST HANDGUN IN THE WORLD, and there is no "best" handgun. The DE is an impractical piece of crap, but it's not like the MW2 players have ever even held the damn thing (I haven't fired them, but I held one once).

The 1911 is not one of the weapons that you acquire in the game; it is only obatinable via a cheat code. It also does not count at all toward the 69 that you need to earn the Little Grey Emblem.

Yes. You have to collect the Tangeshima (tornado gun) and Sorrow Doll to get the Little Gray Emblem. I'm assuming you have the Patriot as well? Anyways, the Sorrow Doll is easy to get, just shoot that doll instead the Mantis Doll in the Screaming Mantis fight.

The big boss's 1911 custom have it's own suppressor. It hasn't got a rail for handgun ligt and has the best shooting speed for semi-auto pistols.

You must get the 69 shown here in this video. The 1911 Custom is technically the 70th weapon but it does not count toward the Emblem since it can only be obtained via a cheat. And Snake's not a cheater. If you have the 1911 Custom and still only 69 weapons, I'd suggest looking carefully thru the video to see which one you're missing. Good luck with it.

First of all, it is clearly 69 weapons, you can even count them. Secondly, the 1911 was not forgotten, nor is it included in the 69 that you can earn without a cheat code and thus are necessary to gain the Little Grey Emblem.
