This death in the series is one of the only ones that can illustrate so perfectly and heart breakingly the horror and loss of someone essential to another. There are others, but because Fred and George are inseperable to the reader, its hard to imagine them each alone, separated by death. It hurts for the reader too. and you begin to understand better the characters left behind, the things that have hurt them and damaged them.

I think this is one of the strongest reactions to a wrock song I've had. I love the HP series with a passion, and I've laughed and cried my way through the books, but until listening to this, I never actually realised just how much of an effect Fred's death would've had on George. I mean, I was upset when he died.. but this just brings a whole new level to it. Not only Fred's death, but all of the other deaths in that final battle.
