@huskyjerk Yes, Jake Gibbs played football and baseball at Ole Miss before being drafted by the Yankees. He was a really good quarterback.

@44032 Ole Miss alternated red and blue jerseys for home games. They never wore red helmets; but, they did alter the shade of blue for their helmets. Google "Ole Miss helmet history", this won't let me post a link.
@bigrebone Thanks. I often prefer the simpler old uniforms of teams to the "busier" look we see today.
