  • I encountered one of these in Regina Saskatchewan at a loading dock in September, it was dying, but still seeing a large arthropod when its 7 degrees outside was odd.

    Yes, I saw one near Calgary. You might not want to handle one though. They have one of the most painful bites for an insect. They aren't poisonous but they inject very acidic saliva when they bite.

    Indeed I was bitten by one on the two a couple of summers ago and the wound was huge started to go into necrosis.
