I don't understand why people think Nintendo is not "hardcore" because they released one console with motion controls and some third party games?They have released four other "hardcore" gaming consoles and not to forget without them gaming wont be as we knowed today.

@tikom100 It's not hardcore (by the way I hate that word) in most people's opinions because of the relative content available on it. It's a family console for the most part. Nintendo adopted Atari's initial viewpoint on creating games that everyone can play, thus making them more adoptable in the home. However Sony, Microsoft, and the relative PC markets make games that kids can play sure, but there's also a lot of adult content there for those of us at a more "mature" age. ;)

There were a few other great Ghostbusters games that were good like Ghostbusters 2 for the Game Boy and the New Ghostbusters 2 for the NES which was only released in Europe.

I had this on Atari 2600 and the directions didn't even tell you how to play it correctly. Plus you had to use the second joystick button for the ghost trap. Hilarious. I miss the 80's.

@Johnlindsey289 Hey John. I played those games ages ago, and unfortunately there were a lot of garbage games made for the NES console. There were also outstanding classics that are still iconic today, but the Ghostbuster series wasn't one of them. The new game however that was recently released a year or so ago is outstanding. It literally throws you into the world of the Ghostbusters and gives the franchise the attention it so deserved decades earlier. Definitely worth a pickup.

The only good GB games before PS3's GB game were Genesis, Real GB for Arcade and GB 2 for Gameboy and they were good GB games unlike the stinkin NES games, ain't that right? i rented GB when i was 7 for my NES since i loved the movie and DAMN what a piece of crap this game was and wasted hours of my life on it, GB 2 for NES was an improvement but still sucks balls. I'm glad i was satisfied with Genesis, Arcade and GB 2 for Gameboy and now the GB PS3 game rocked

Plus there are quite a few other great games for this system, some of the recent ones being Donkey Kong Country Returns, Sonic Colors, and Kirby's Epic Yarn. Plenty of nostalgia. New Super Mario Bros. Wii is a perfect example. Lets also not forget about Super Smash Bros. Brawl. Want an M rated game? Try Resident Evil 4. See there's plenty you can do with it

Also I review many PS3 and HD games all the time. Most of them play average. Just because a game has a good graphics, doesn't mean anything if gameplay just plays ok. Developers today do the graphics 1st and then work on the gameplay later in development. They aren't following the golden rule of game creation. This leads to more glitches & patches! We saw this problem start on the Ps2,GC and Xbox. Very few games from that decade had the perfect marriage of graphics and gameplay.

During the creation of revolution, the systems graphics were the same as 360. However; by incorporating the Motion controls. The developers found it would be to expensive to make the system HD and motion controls. So instead of charging 400 dollars for the system. They made it affordable. The consumer responded by buying 80 Million world wide since 2006. The 3DS proves that Nintendo still has the ability to do next gen graphics. Many PS3/360 games look amazing but the game play is mediocre.

@kNIGHTWING01 The "Revolution" was originally designed to be an expansion on the Gamecube but was scrapped when Nintendo saw that they needed a new console to compete with the 360 and PS3. Unfortunately by scaling the graphics down they replaced the video card with an ATI Radeon that has the processing power of a Playstation 2. The 3DS isn't next gen graphics its a DS with an updated cpu and os with 3D capabilities. The main problem with the Wii is that developers lost interest due to the Gpu.

Gaming isn't about Graphics its about the gameplay. Only thing Child ish is when people pretend to know what gaming is. FPS games and MMORPG are for casual gamers. Hard core gamers play EVERYTHING, Nintendo included. You can learn alot about retro games, some still PWN today. Except not Ghostbusters. This review was done in Oct of 2007 and was part of a Halloween theme. I review both Wii,DS and PS3 games professional and retro games for entertainment purposes.

I have seen several reviews on GB II Kw, AGVN, Armake21... whatever. They all say the game sucks which for the most part does. One part of the game no one seems to mention is the little spider-bug thing that follows you throughout the platform levels such as the Subway Tunnel, Courthouse etc. I have noticed it's only purpose is to make reverse pregression impossible as it does hurt you it jumps when you do and you can't kill it with slime. Any thoughts on this little pecker?

The spider thing is supposed to be like a timer, because if it catches up to you then you die. So you're supposed to get to the end before the spider gets to you. I guess it would've made too much sense to just give you an actual time limit *shrugs*

Wait a minute, the total absence of a boss battle in Ghosbusters 2 is a good thing?! What the hell, man? Maybe, it's just me, but when I'm playing a game, whether it's an Adventure, Action or Beat'em Up game, I like the fact that there's some big scary bad guy waiting to fight me in the end. That's the all point of the game, TO BEAT THE BOSS. The absence of a final boss battle against Vigo only added to Ghostbusters 2's shitiness.
