@thewrongintheworld2 It's a pretty easy song. It's in the key of F, but the bridge walks down to D, then G, C , Bb7 to A7. Anyway, if you would like all the chords, find the facebook page for "Rusty's Rocking Jamboree," ask me for them there and I will post the lyrics and chords on facebook. Yes? Thanks for liking the song.
@Multi01Mileyfan Hey, thanks. Check out some of my other songs. Not all of them are as silly and pun filled as The Cantaloupe Song, but there's some other good stuff.
I'm tickled pink that you like this, seeso! Folks, check out seeso's videos! He's a great singer/songwriter and Ukulele player. One of the rising stars of UkeTube.
I think I'll cut up some cantelope and put it on my Mr. Clammo's Crunchy Fish Flakes. We at the Cantelope Awareness Society [CAS] thank you. (FYI: Just to clarify: All cantelopes are muskmelons, but not all muskmelons are cantelopes). Do you have any Bulgar Wheat songs?
I had no clue that Cantaloupe are actually a subset of the larger Muskmelon Family! Thank you, CAS. Frankly, my knowledge of melons, even fruits and vegetables in general, is rather shallow. And I think I drunkenly wrote a "Vulgar Wheat Song" once, but I don't have a Bulgar Wheat Song yet. I'll work on that.
Oh, Cantaloupe! We at the CAS eat 'cantelope' which are actually a member of the muskoxen family. Please disregard the above. In fact we are wholly opposed to all melons (I won't even set foot on the campus of Carnegie Mellon University). My apologies for taking up valuable internet space with an off-the-cuff knee-jerk response.
HAHAHAHA What are the chords to this song?

Thanks. This song has quietly grown to be my most popular song on YouTube. I'm pleased to see it connected to "Harry the Watermelon"!
RockingJamboree 2 years ago
Well, you connected to Harry on mine, which I thought was tres' kind! I guess we have to kind of stick together in the produce section.

Love it Russ :), but then again I am kind of silly

A very nice song but I think you can try and arrange a piano accompaniment, like a rag
DashaHudyberdyeva 3 years ago
Dasha, THAT is a wonderful idea. Unfortunately, I don't play piano that well!
But I would LOVE to collaborate with some talented piano player who CAN arrange and play a piano part for this song!
I can send them the lyrics and chords! The just need to message me that they would like to do a collaboration.

Yes, much better than the old slogan:

But Bob Hope eats cantelope*
*may not be true
