  • Thanks for the memories:)

  • This is when WBK really "jumped the shark".

  • Thats Bay Pkwy station. Man I love the old elevated train lines.

  • @SubwayFan83 Only Effies shoes lennys pizza and meat supreme are the only two original stores left from that era on that side of 86st, I think everything else is gone . rossi beauty salon still open but its on the other side on bay 20st and not in the opening credits

  • Love this show, and the cars back then. I had a few cars that woulda been driving around those streets, back then... a 73 Cadillac Coupe de Ville, a 72 Ford Thunderbird, a 75 Chevy Monza Towne Coupe, a 74 AMC Hornet, and a 75 Toyota Corona. Back when most of the cars on the road were RWD. I miss those days. lol :)

  • This song has stuck in my head since I was about 5 or 6 years old. I vaguely remember seeing it on TV at times as well. I guess around 81 or 82 they were playing re-runs of this show on tv or something?

  • All right, Brooklyn!!!!! This was one of my favorite shows back in the day. Thanks for posting and bringing back those memories!

  • Stephen Shortridge was a prototype for Ted McGinley!

  • What a happy song about failure... just realised it now.

  • What episode was this? I know it's a season 4.

  • When Gabe Kaplan appeared on one of the very last episodes of WBK, didn't he start sporting a full-grown beard?

  • I believe he appeared on the final show with a full beard, after strangely being absent for most of the last season ('78-79)!! The episode premise when he returned was for Arnold's wedding.

  • Does anyone know where I can find the rest of the series on the computer? I have watched about 45 episodes between the various sites.

  • Stephen Shortridge will be one of the best answers to a trivia question. :) Does anyone know if Mr. Shortridge do anything else in acting besides WBK?

  • @terjer01 actually he is retired from acting and is now an artist. he did one season on bold and beautiful, but now just paints.

  • This was one of the greatest shows in the 70s. The guy with the glasses on 0:20 looks like Woody Allen. LOL! Thanks for posting this videos. Surely brings back good memories.

  • Oops, I meant 0:29 where the guy looks like Woody Allen. Sorry about that.

  • Yes, John was only in about the first 4 episodes of the 1978-79 season, and then the "Beau" character came on to replace him, which of course was not possible (who could equal Barbarino??). This final season also amazingly did not have Mr. Kotter (Gabe Kaplan) in very many episodes either!

  • Another reason why the Beau character didnt work as a Sweathog was not only was he Barbarino's replacement but even his name didnt fit. They called him by his first name, the other Sweathogs were all referred to mostly by their surnames.

  • In one of the episodes where Barbarino first met Beau, he told fellow Sweathogs "Who is this clown?"

  • @jed6271: Actually, it took TWO characters to replace Vinnie Barbarino...they also brought in Charles Fleischer (later the voice of Roger Rabbit) to play Carvelli, who was the wise-ass side of Vinnie (Beau was more of the smooth ladies' man).

  • Had John Travolta already left the show? He's not in the credits.
