  • i heard that some of the gen 4's had something wrong with them. i have a 17, and a 22 gen 3, looking forward to getting a 21 or gen 4 22, have you heard anything on if the gen 4's had something wrong with them and if they fixed it.

  • Also: The MBS is ingenuous. The grip is not hollow like some polymer frame handguns. You can safely use it without the back strap attached. I do not use it on mine. When you take the back strap off of other similar handguns, you are looking at a hole in the frame with parts exposed. In the rare event of a cartridge that explodes, guess where the force and impact is going on a handgun with a hollow grip frame? The blast will take the path of least resistance in my humble opinion.

  • Picked up a Glock 22 Gen. 4 today. I am in love. I got it at Cheaper Than Dirt Guns. The salesman was very patient with me and let me "go over the weapon" with a fine tooth comb to make sure it had the 0-1-4 RSA and 28926 Extractor. Like an idiot, I traded a Gen. 2 22 and a Gen. 3 23 over the years. This Gen. 4 22 feels better in the hand to me than my 23 did due to the more narrow grip and shorter reach to the trigger. It has the " . " connector and the trigger is superb. Thanks for the review!

  • Are the Glock 22s fixed at this point?

  • @GMANistheleet Yes the issue has been resolved with the 0-1-4 recoil spring assembly and 28926 Extractor. I called Glock personally to get the low down before buying. There is a clear difference in the feel of the Gen. 4 versus the prior offerings. The stippling is just right----not too sharp; not too dull. The workmanship on this pistol is superior---no slop, not a blemish on the slide----everything fits. They thought this through. They had some issues that cropped up and they have been fixed.

  • @GMANistheleet

They have been fixed, They fixed the problems shortly after the issue was discovered,

  • I have the Glock 22 Gen4 and all I can say is, its my favorite. Perfect balance and shoots great. I am comming from the Glock 17 and the 22 Gen4 feels like a 9mm.

  • love the range...

  • can anybody help me. ive only shot my glock 22 3 times. my first times ever shooting a hand gun. but all my shots are falling low to the left from where i am aiming anyone got any pointers? i cant seem to figure it out keep in mind im still only a week into the handgun field

  • @Jaydin1212 You're probably "jerking the trigger". Look it up, plenty of videos how to do it right. If not, get somebody to spot you on the range.

    Good luck!

  • My brother just bought his glock 22 gen 4 today and it came with 3 mags and all 3 backstraps. Just like my gen 4 glock 19. Can't wait to go shoot his 22. Looks like fun.

  • Sadly this video is poor resolution quality even at 720 p.

  • IN GLOCK WE TRUST! THE BEST.

  • hey hickock. if zombies attack will you send me your address?

  • Badass. Buying one of these soon

  • the insects in the background are louder than any gun , lol

  • which glock have more firepower

  • does that dual recoil spring reduce some of the "sting" felt while shooting?

  • Thanks for the Glock videos. I just bought a Glock 22 (not as good a shot as you) but I enjoy your videos!

  • Mine is also missing the new spring and the removable backstrap. Its a Gen 4, no doubt. Why didn't I get the same you did?

  • @NoGuff

I now know why mine didn't come with the new spring and removable backstraps. Its a Gen 3 not a Gen 4. The gun store sold me a Gen 3 because the Gen 4 is not legal for sale here in the People's Democratic Republic of California. I can't wait to move back to the USA someday.

  • Mine came with only 2 mags.

  • @NoGuff The 22's and 17's only come with 2 mags. The 23's and 19's come with 3. This is what I've seen at my local gun shops, anyway.

  • @biggerm82

Thanks for the info. I don't like these mags anyway since they're only 10rnd. I'm going to buy some "illegal" mags that are "high capacity" (standard capacity). I still don't know why my Gen4 doesn't have the new spring. Either way, I love my Glock.

  • Hi Hickok, just a few months ago I bought my 2nd pistol, a Glock 22. I love it. We all apreciate your videos. Great shooting range. Tell me, how do your neighbors like your shooting range?

  • 19:18 Did he say he was 6' 8"?

  • I just purchased the 22 gen 4 about 3 weeks ago. Had to after watch ole Hickok so many times.HA! I do really like the pistol though. I am not a follower, but the Glock is just built like a tank. Simple and accurate. Have put several rounds of federal 180 grain and 165 grain white box through it. It runs flawlessly. Thanks Hickok. Enjoy your vids big time. Every time I watch one I am reminded I am not an odd ball with my attraction to firearms. I think, I guess ? Now where's those dag Zombies Ha!

  • I have worked in law enforcement and never thought one time about carrying a glock , it was smith and wesson or nothing . I changed my mind when I saw a torture test done on the glock and was totally blown away , I now have a glock 22 and will carry it in uniform on duty and off duty . I am a fan now oglock and will refer all my family and friends to the brand .

  • @mike48632 nice to hear that from a guy who sounds like he knows his stuff, I just bought a Glock 22 gen 4. I do really like it, but was kinda torn between the Glock or M&P.

  • lol the insect sounds are annoying nice video...Hickock i can now buy a Gen 4 confidently

  • Gotta love this guy....Hichkok you're the best

  • hes 6'8" ??? this whole time i thought he was a little old man...

  • "Master bullet slinger," got to love it.

  • This gentleman shooting the vid and these glocks is a someone that u want on ur side, lol. Carefully watched the major differences between the glock 3rd and 4thgen. Big ones. Learned a lot from u, be safe, and keep blasting out the videos. You Sir. Are The Man!

  • @ghostlocker I own this exact glock. Model22 Gen4, and I absolutely love it! Bought it brand new this past July. In the plastic shell case it even came with, and get this, two .40 grey shells that it was test fired with. The date and who shot it. Holds 15+1 for a 40cal. 3 mags! C'mon now! It is awesome! Used to swear by Sig until I was given a used glock by my State Trooper cousin a few years back. Comparing a Sig and a Glock is like night and day. Happy Holidays!!!

  • This is my next Glock!!

  • you have some good videos and you're an awesome shot.. I subscribed

  • i want one

  • @Hickok45..Do you think Glock would like you to demo the Glock 34 or 35 gen3 or 4?

  • hhhmmmm I'm thinking a G22 might be something I'll have to get for myself this Christmas. But for some reason I really have a thing for the Gen3. The grips on the Gen4 just don't look right...

  • @Johnnytcod dude get the glock g22 .40cal. it's awesome.. I promise you'll love it ;)

  • I just got a Glock 22 4 grn today. never had a gun before. I have seen your videso. but on this one it would have been a big help to me if you slowly showed how you took the gun apart and restall the other half. should the gun be oiled first and when should I do the first cleaning and what do I use. help

  • He doesnt sound new to me, just that he miss-spoke...

  • lol snappy..

  • @ 1:30-1:50, is it me or does he look like he wants to make sweet love to this Glock?

  • @karmadog7777

    don't you?

  • How about popping off a couple of rounds just to shut them crickets up???

  • Apparently life is no longer good...

  • Been watching your vids for 2 yrs, and just learned your 6"8. With those long arms & huge hands do you feel that gives you a control advantage?

Heck I'm 5"11 . you must acquire a site picture about a foot and a half further from your dominate eye. Heck that's like a long barrel rifle no wonder I haven't been able to duplicate that type of accuracy just kidding but seriously do you think it makes a difference..?

  • @mell10460 Hickok or any man can apply himself and get accurate with the Glock. That is why the Glock is so popular. Practice with the Glock leads to Hickokness...

  • i shoot a glock gen.3 for about a year and then the gen.4 came out i love my gen.4 its like shooting my .22LR no kick at all

  • this guy is good

  • killerrrrr!!!!

  • can you get a plus2 base plate for the mags.

  • damn good shot sir

  • You are a "jam-up" shooter!! On those long targets, there was probably a second or two from the time you fired to hearing the bullets hit. Long shots. Very accurate.

  • what do you think about the glock 17 gen 4?

  • @dieHoelzer i know you didnt ask me but don't go with any 9mm glock gen 4, as far as the glock 9mm's are concerned the gen 3 is just better, but in an entirely different animal (the .40 cal) you would definitely want the gen 4, I wouldnt take a free gen 3 .40 cal

  • @DANKNUGZZ211 thanks man :D but i think i go with a sig p226 anyway :D

  • @dieHoelzer great choice man

  • Dude you got some happy crickets in that video!!!

  • hey 45 have u had any problems with the Gen 4's

  • Comment removed

  • I am fan of Hickok45 I have seen all your video all the fun shootings and gun reviews are very helpful to guide me to the right glock that I have been researching for 3 months. Finally I bought I bought my first handgun found the type of gun GLOCK 22 rather 23. I wish California had Glock 22 Gen 4 but its illegal here. So I settled Gen 3 Glock 22. Hickok 45 keep doing a good job! I am sure your inspired and help people making the right decision buying handguns by watching your videos. Thanks!

  • @Stueylouie shoulda bought a Sig

  • @Stueylouie why is the gen 4 illegal in California but not the gen 3?

  • @567WORMBOY123 presumably because the magazine capacity... thats what it usually is for

  • @rugged04270 but he said he could have the glock 3rd generation, thats what puzzles me, who knows with California

  • @567WORMBOY123 California is very liberal aka communist with their laws. Each and every make and model has to be approved by the state to be legal. Even if they do get around to approving the gen 4 it will be restricted to a 10 round magazine. Maximum magizine capicity is 10 rounds for any gun in California. I do thank God that I live in Tennessee.

  • @m96c40 i live in Canada and hell the laws here sound slightly better than the laws in California, you know its a sad day when that happens. but Canada is plagued by an oppressive liberal element constantly even though we currently have a conservative majority government, the liberals still seem to bitch their foot into the door. be thankful you live in the united states of freedom my friend

  • @Stueylouie Move out of communist California now!

  • @Stueylouie California is so stupid. Do you know if the glock 23 gen 4 is legal?

  • @379peterbilt530 All gen4 Glocks are still illegal in CA. That will be the case until Glock decides to submit them for testing

  • Wild Bill, I have seen the aftermath of "cops shooting" i.e. holes in everything but the person they were shooting at. You are the absolute exception as far as accuracy with a handgun. Most cops never touch a gun prior to "Police Academy"...esp in big cities and in my opinion can't shoot as well as the average gun enthusiast. How do you like living in KY?

  • Do you think that the new design of mechanics (i.e. the recoil spring, etc.) has affected the reliability of the G22 or G21 at all? I have heard of multiple reports of failure to ejects with the G17 gen 4's, but this was blamed on the recoil spring being too stiff. I would imagine that a stiff recoil spring wouldn't affect a 40 or 45 too much. I am looking at purchasing a G21 SF in a couple of weeks but may go with a G21 Gen 4 instead.

  • Thank you sir. This has helped me make my decision on my first buy. Much appreciated.

  • @ChiefPO10490 Follow up: I got my Gen4 Glock 22 today. My first, but not last, handgun purchase. I again want to stress how appreciative I am of the time you took to do this review and this video. Thank you sir!

  • So what do you suggest for carry as far as ammo I know some suggest hollow point but guy told me u have a chance of jamming easier with a hollowpoint than a fmj. And also do you know which is better 165 grain or 180 grain Thanks

  • @trohpyofhisgrace I would go with a 180 grain JHP. Personally I like the Hornady TAP FPD. It aint cheap but it's some good stuff. I'd also suggest putting at least 100 rounds of multiple brands/types through your carry pistol to see how it fires. It may take some time and money but that's the best way to find the ammo that suits you and your weapon. Using ammo that you are comfortable with and shoots well in your gun is, imho, the most important thing.

  • So what do you suggest for carry as far as ammo I know some suggest hollow point but guy told me u have a chance of jamming easier with a hollowpoint than a fmj. just wondering thanks

  • I have shot a Glock 19 gen4 and I LOVED IT and I am trying to decide if I should go for a gen 4 new or a gen 3 used from a gun show to avoid all the registration.

Give me any information you can to help me with this purchase

  • Nice :))))

  • I am 17 years older , my dad will buy me a gun , obviously because of my age, the gun will remain on the armory/shooting range.

Which caliber do you recommend? 9mm , or .40 ?

All opinions are welcome , (my english is not perfect , i'm from P.R.) hope u all understand me

  • @el4tobate25 If your new to handguns I would say a 9mm, the ammo is a lot cheaper and more practical, if your just gonna use it at a shooting range, not as much of a kick on it either, the .40 is generally for law enforcement, a lot of civilians still use them, id still reccomend a 9mm for practical shooting

  • @outsider0100 yes i'm new , thanks

te situation is that im in college , studying criminal justice / investigation .... in the future I want to work with the FBI or the Police,

I thought of buying a .40, to get familiarized with its recoil and etc , and when I graduate and start working, dominate the pistol .

  • @el4tobate25 In that case, go for the .40

  • Im enlisted Air Force. Fortunately we have a gun store that has a direct relationship with Smith and Wesson and Glock and both of those companies work with and support police and military for obvious reasons. $409 for most Glocks (all models besides 20/21/34/35. They also have M&P w/ night sights for $469. Oh and they all come with 3 full size mags!! One of the nice perks of serving this country.

  • @CoasterBeach all guns are sexy

  • Local gun shop has these on a military/police discount for $409 w/ 3 mags. Im gonna have trijicon HD sights installed for another $100 and give my father one hell of a surprise present.

  • @lEgaLiZeVOLVE Are you a police officer or in the military, and which branch if the military? I am asking because i want to join the marines when I get older. But I'm into shooting and firearms as well otherwise I wouldn't be here.

  • cicadas! good video, you sold me! february 19th i turn 21, february 20th I'll be purchasing one with three extra mags

    :D:D

  • hello hickok45, I just have a question about ammunition. I think you may have answered this in your video and or on the comment list below, so I apologize if that's the case. I was just wondering about good ammo for this gun. Good, CHEAP ammo that won't mess it up. I've heard that glocks can shoot anything and everything but I wanted the advice of a professional like yourself. What brand and how much should I be paying for ammo? BTW, your review is the reason I bought THIS glock so thanks!

  • ok well I'm an idiot because I just saw the part of the video where you were talking about the ammo, sorry! So it's safe to assume that that "Federal" ammo is good for target shooting? How about another question--I know a bullet is a bullet and any can be used for self defense but in your opinion/expert knowledge, is there ammo BETTER for self defense?

  • Ok hickok45, i've seen many of yours videos and im fairly new to guns... im 14 and i want to get my first gun but i dont have a ton of money... do you suggest i get a taurus 92 or a rock island armory 45acp? im really into 1911's and i've shot one before... but i trust your opinon if you could get back to me that would be great thanks,

  • got a feeling that 22 can fit my hands and im only 17 :)

  • Gun Lovers will never live in California.

  • @brian82776 But pot lovers will...lol Brian. Seems ironic but since-able.

  • the magazine release seems to be different

  • Enjoyed watching your video; you seem like a cool person. I don't own your gun but I do own the HK p30 .40. shoots both handed...kills the same. I brag about it during traffic stops.

  • @CoasterBeach

Shoot one and you wont feel that way!

  • you by far do the best reviews on youtube. keep up the amazing work i really learned a lot from this and it helped me to make my 1st purchase. so happy!

  • @aqcrc51 only the gen 3 is legal in CAli Gen 4 is not approved yet i've asked several gunsmiths

  • @CoasterBeach i know right but it is pretty good once you get the hang of it

  • Best and most informative vids on Youtube. Helped me make an informed purchase. Thanks to your vids I am now an owner of a Glock 30SF and Glock 22 Gen 3! I also have an XD 45 and XD 40sc. wouldn't part w/ my XD's or Glocks! Both are superb!

  • Is the Gen 4 glock 22 40s&w legal for california??? let me know

  • @georgetravis64 . Gen3 or 4 is legal in CA as long as you have the 10rd mags....

  • @aqcrc51 gen 4 is not legal in ca. and never will be.

  • @fordxbgtfalcon How do you know that it will never be legal in CA?

  • @Jfuji5000 well let's just say i work for the state of ca. and leave it at that...

  • @fordxbgtfalcon All I can say about CA. is.... Dear Mexico, YOU CAN HAVE IT BACK NOW.

  • @fordxbgtfalcon Gen 4 not legal in California because it has MBS and a different spring?? Glad i dont live in California. They regulate entirely too much!

  • That is such a nice gun are you going to get a CAA Tactical Roni? I am going to be looking in to getting one didn't know what you thought about them.

  • lol it's funny how all those bugs hissing in the background quiet down as soon as he starts poppin slugz @ 11:20

  • Is it true that because the model 17 and 22 are the same size pistols that the 22's barrel is less durable than the smaller caliber's 17? Is the barrel wall on the 22 thinner than on the 17? This is just something I heard from a diehard Sig fan in my family. You would think that a 40 would need a more durable barrel than a 9mm because it's a larger and higher pressure round. Thanks just curious

  • I am curious if you feel a weight difference between the gen3 and the gen4? I just bought a gen4 as my new duty weapon and swear the gen4 feels a tad bit heavy compared to the gen3.

  • @CoasterBeach That 'cheap plastic toy" could make a very large hole in you. Glocks are light weight and reliable. Don't hate buddy.

  • Same as the guy below me I am getting a Glock 22 but is what other .40 caliber full size pistols would you recommend. I was thinking about the usp .40. What are your favorite .40 caliber pistols?

  • Hey hickok. what are some 40 caliber guns that you would recommend? Because I am getting a Glock 22 soon but I would like to know some other good .40 handguns...

  • если это дерьмо хорошую игру, но нуждается в большей опасности, потому что в полтора дня, что я лучше пойду в дерьмо

  • I will ask you again will you do a review on the smith&wesson 1911 e series?

  • Have you ever tried the grip force product that straighten out the back of the Gen 4 grip?

  • I bought my first glock yesterday because of this man The first time i held one and shot it i didnt care for it but a few years have passed and gave um another try cause of these videos and well...came home with a model 22 gen 3.

  • Im wondering?? how do you get all these guns? is that like all you buy or something?

  • Glock 22 fires a lager cartridge and has the same magazine capacity as the 17

  • Is the glock 22 better than glock 17?

  • great video

  • i would like to puchase glock 27 and 22 the problem is the only available here in my place is the one made in usa. I would like to ask you sir hickok45 if the usa made has the same quality, durability and torture test with the one made in austria? hope you respond. thanks bro.

  • youre a badass!!! very informative video

  • The 19 and 22 fire like a dream.

  • big help

  • I'm really surprised that the g22 isn't a .22LR... any other gun with the number 22 in its name would be

  • @MushroomPictures Thats not how glock works

  • @GalactikCannablism lol i suppose

  • You meant to say mag release right? (at the beginning)

  • @justbrady one of glocks safety mechanisms is the mag release. technically he's right.

  • @0802futuremc he has it corrected on the video now.

  • Thanks for the great videos Hickok,

I love the look of Glock handguns!!

I just shot one for the first time yesterday, My first handgun and absolutely love it!!!

  • i love my glock 22 gen 4!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @VATOOUT me too best handgun I've ever shot it makes me look like a better shooter than I am lol

  • Nice vid! I wish im in the US...so i can get and use a Real Gun...(message sent from HK Asia)

  • you sir, can rock the shit out of any firearm. fuck the dosaques guy. YOU are the most amazing man in the world

  • shoot much?

  • I hear that there are more problems with the 9mm versions, as the compound recoil spring and added spring weight was meant to compenstate for the 40./ 45. cal>>thoughts?

  • Your reloads could be much much faster if you strip with your support and reload. The drop free is such a gimmick it kills me.

  • This is actually my first firearm that i bought myself. I've shot several different weapons including the 44 magnum (excellent first firearm to shoot), 10mm, 45 acp, M9 Beretta, and the M16-A2. I love sending lead downrange with this.

  • FREAKIN BEAST!

  • Haha you have bird legs

  • @BiohazardDingleberry Why are you looking at another man's legs? Maybe you thought this was a different kind of "gun" channel.

  • Glock 17 review would be great!! :-D, lots of glock 17 users here that wait for this review, by the hickok45 glock guru!!

  • @coasterbeach, glock look serious gun for work, efficency, reliability, law enforcement, simple, light, solid flat black, no fancy bling bling metal parts, sleek and ergonomic design. No unnecessary part, rollpin or esthetic accessory. Best pistols ever made in my opinion. Far to look cheep if you ever had one in your hand. PERFECTION

  • Hey, I'm really interested in Glocks mainly because I plan on becoming a police officer once i'm done college and I know my local department uses the glock 22. I have never shot before and I want to start shooting and have some experience with a firearm before I enter the police academy, do you have a suggestion about which glock model would be best for a first time shooter or does it matter??

Thanks for the awesome and very educational vids

  • @epson4000 The .40 Glock 22 would be the best for you considering you never shot before!! Great pistol to start shooting with. If you get the 4th Generation Glock 22 like shown in this video, you can also adjust the grip to fit your hand just right!!

  • That bigger magazine release seems very nice. With Glock 17 it was harder for me to release the mag because of the way the magazine release was. Good video by the way.

  • @CoasterBeach Do the same comparison on Chevy pickups, take an old 66 chevy pickup. You could count the plastic parts on your fingers. Now look at a 2011 pickup. Now you can almost count the steel parts on fingers, yet it still pulls trailers, hauls loads of dirt ect. ect. Technology has advanced to get the same thing done with polymers and plastics that we relied on steel for. Also using steel only where needed saves weight, increasing MPG ect. Same thing with handguns.

  • great videos

  • you should do a revew on the xdm 4.5" its just as good as glock

  • @CoasterBeach , Yep, like an M4. Looks can be deceiving. It IS interesting and ironic, I suppose, that the ugliest guns out there seem to be the most reliable. :-)

  • @hickok45 Ugly ? i just think the glock looks fantastic :) Nice video's BTW hickok !

  • @hickok45 damn, slow down killer lol.

  • @hickok45 When the zombies invade, and if i survive, can we meet up please?

  • MUSIC TO MY EARS

  • Thank :)

  • Deputy Friend of mine at the sheriffs office here has the 22 as his side arm. I like it!

  • Is it true that its safe to dryfire a glock22 ??

  • @MrJomillo absolutely. You won't hurt it. Hickock even has a video on it

  • may disappoint you. i just traded my glock 23 in for the 22 gen 4, the 23 was to small for my hands. i ordered my 22 so i could get the law enforcement discount and its been 3 weeks, no gun. how long does an order usually take?

  • Im drawn between a 4th Gen Glock 22 and S&W M&P .40!
