  • nice quality and epic vid

  • @swamiwasabi Thanks!

  • how do you do so it is no general in the battle??

  • @TotalWarSweden98 I edited some files with some programs.

  • how do you do so it is no generals in the battle??

  • Jesus man, you must have a super computer or something if you get the end battle results that quick.

  • you lost because did not invoke the banzai

  • @Luanregato I know, and I've made a video with Banzai too.

  • How could the No Dachi lose if it had less casualties?

  • @hatefulvengeance Becouse they fled.

  • No-Dachi is a infantry/cavalry hybrid unit. Basically you want to keep them in your back line or flanks and use their massive charge bonus at a critical point in the battle. Make sure you use their banzai ability while charging!

Just keep them safe from katana cavalry/great guard and don't let them get shredded by arrows.

  • epic music

  • No dachi is just like European knight 's longsword

  • @Lastdruid1 more like a claymore actually. the katana is more equivalent of a longsword

  • since the no-dachi have a higher charge would they be better for killing intruders that are climbing through the castle walls than the regular katana samurai; or are they more a flanking unit? I ask because I have never used no-dachi. i also never trained to use Banzai, is that a good skill?

  • @Schwarzpferd They're better for flanking, and Banzai inceases that effect. They're like cavalry, but then infantry :P (That doesn't make sence but you'll understand.)

  • get the MOUSE out of the WAY XD

  • one of the no-dachi samurai saw this video

  • The No-Dachi would easily had won if you used them to their full potential.

  • The longer blade didn't seem to help much...

  • @LuigianoMariano Realistically, the longer the blade the more difficult it is to wield in close quarters. A nōdachi is a Japanese sword over 4 feet long, comparable to the German zweihänder or Scottish claymore in length. It was used in open battles, mainly against cavalry, but they were supplanted by naginata and phased out as battles shifted indoors, although some samurai, like Sasaki Kojirō, used nōdachi with near-superhuman proficiency.

  • Jesus computer yahh

  • SHAMFUR DISPRAY!

  • @Freshjonng I've made a new video, check it out.

  • @Freshjonng Indeed

  • How do you set custom battles 1vs1 unit? Is it a mod, and which is it?? :)

  • @GrandChamp1989 Look. You choose your army. To do so, you have to select the general first. When you are done like for example: one general unt, one Katana or No-Dachi unit, simply deselect the general unit and you have only 1 unit left. To choose other units, you have to reselect the general again.

  • use banzai and it would of been in the nodachi's favor

  • @marineninga I will upload two other battles but then use Banzai.

  • @Whiteheadache how did you get the minor factions

  • @MrO1Z A mod

  • The Nodachi lost the battle just because you didnt use Banzai... you didnt employed them as they should...

  • @Semeiron I did use Banzai. I agree that they should be employed in a different way. They should flank, charge, and retreat again. Some sort of cavalry.

  • @Whiteheadache can u show me the time in which u did use banzai? i just watched the whole thing and didnt see u use it once. the reason the katana won is cause they got your general they have more armor and better defense. but if u used banzai....... that with the no dachi's charge makes them superior

  • @ashura09 The armor doesn't matter in melee combat, only against arrows. Yes they got my general, and defence doesn't matter either, both sides where attacking. No-Dachi should be used differently, but this was just a charge-charge comparison.

  • @Whiteheadache so i ask again where did you use banzai? are you saying since it was just a charge on charge comparison it was a fairly held match without the no dachi using all there ability?

  • @ashura09 Now I see it, I've watched the video myself now, and I see I didn't use it. I said that I did use it becouse I capture those videos not one time, but like 3 times. I do that becouse of lagg, or becouse I wasn´t satisfied with the combat I had filmed etc. etc. In this take, It wasn´t my intention to use Banzai, I wanted to see their fighting skills without Banzai, that´s one of the reasons I included the units statistics in the discription. I you want Banzai, I´ll make a video for you.

  • @Whiteheadache thank you but i dont need someone elses video to see results i can have by playing the game myself.

  • If only the nodachi creator was smart enough to do what the Europeans did and put a ricassa above the handguard. The gothic great swords are useful in close combat because of it.

  • Use banzai?

  • NOOP!!!!!!!!!

  • i tried this myself and my no-dachi won 2 times in a row and then they lost.......i love how unpredictable this game can be

  • Good Job I LLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVv the vid is Very Cool. I still can't belive you ha a close defeat!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • look how low armor is on most units in the game....im pumping out buffed armor units now as my main strategy...not moral. Units never run from castles so more is pointless there. Armor...thats useful everywhere, even VS arrows. I think the no-dachi may be the better unit if you compare the stats after youve added a heap of armor to both units.

  • Look at the 2 lanterns, LOL

  • The both retreat at the same time? SHAMEFUL DISPLAY!

  • This was quite informative video. I have been playing date and had lots of no-dachi samurais as my main infantry force, but it seems that it would be better to have katana samurai or naginata samurai as my main force and only use no dashi as shock troopers to charge trough enemy line. ( i thought they were superior in melee fights, but inferior in defense against archers but it seems that they are superior only as shock troopers.)

  • Sega was smart to develop such advanced gameplay. Although no dachi have better stats, they lose in a melee due to the fact that shorter, more agile katana are superior in close combat such as a melee, you would charge in no dachi, but use the length of their sword to their advantage, so cut down with a charge, pull back, archer fire, charge, etc.

  • @pwn4lifez This was just a comparison m8, not a battle tactics guide. You're totally right though.

  • @Whiteheadache What is this bullshit? You're a noob at this, why make videos to prove stuff when you suck at the game? The No-dachi samurai can easily beat katana samurai in most cases. No-dachi should be in Banzai mode and attacking the katana samurai. As the game can sometimes be unpredictable (morale at the time plays a major role, probably why you won), i have to debunk this video and say you're full of it.

  • @DeanWinchester133 I chose for morale instead of charge bonus. Also: my general died pretty early, and you know what that means. It's quite interesting how you're able to tell that I suck at this game in a three minute gameplay where the only command I used was 'charge' :). Also: you didn't watch very well, I lost.

  • @Whiteheadache That's all i need to know to call you a noob. I got enough evidence buddy.

  • @DeanWinchester133

Well, the bullshit is what you said. Shut up you're the noob.

thanks for the video Whiteheadache :)

  • @masterco93 Hahahaha, yo kid tell me what it's like, to be half a man. It must break your heart. Well you better get used to the way the ball bounces, idiot. Lol, i'm the noob? I've seen what you got, it measures in ounces.

    But that's the breaks boy.

  • @DeanWinchester133

haha I like how you call people "noobs" from some 3-5 mins videos. And I have been playing TW games since they were made. So please, shut ur fucken mouth up

  • @masterco93 Lol, you called me a noob and we weren't even messaging each other for 3-5 minutes. You know what that is? FAIL! Hahahaha kid, i've seen what you got, it measures in ounces. So shut the fuck up, before i shove a 21 foot sarissa up your tiny asshole, forcing it to come outta your mouth and name it shut.

  • I thought no dachi was better

  • think the only time i would use no daichi over calvary is against spear units, spear walls mean nothing to me once my no daichi goes in, but then again i still think katana samurais are so much better

  • Noob always activate banzai to get extra charge bonus before you move in -.-

  • @B0zz3 You also get unbreakable morale, and that's only handy when it's about to break :).

  • @Whiteheadache

    @B0zz3

bansai is a defence and attack skill

  • he didnt make it if you watch closely he goes back to him and he is killed

  • you used the demo mod!!!

  • @PeterTheChinesePanda Yes I did

  • How do you play as Hatano?

  • ok, use banzai and they would die easely, without banzai they probably would have won because of the los of general in the beginning so i think no-dachi would have won that... :)

  • the use of banzai would have made the different lol. its what makes them better for the extra 50coin

  • jump to 1:38

  • shouldve turned on banzai

  • @xXdenee the katana would have been done, the no dach had a better charge too lol.

  • @pw089 mod

  • @emirilyasov I did that becouse I wanted to see their fightng skills without special abilities

  • @Whiteheadache well i thought the point of this video is to know who's better.. without the banzai skill, the no-dachi is not worth its cost and it's more expensive than katana samurai.

you should have used the banzai skill.

  • @kiyosk I agree

  • are all clans playable in custom?

  • @priest1090kukulcan no u need mods they only include the main clans playable in the campaign

  • WTF? They both fled?

  • @fartero Yes they did. However, the No-Dachi fled 1 sec earlier. So they lost.

  • @Whiteheadache Strange considering they had more numbers and the same amount of morale.

  • what is a good graphics card or pc for shogun mine sucks

  • @Lassen2O Give me your PC specs, what you want from it and your budget. There are thousands of cards.

  • @Whiteheadache ok its a Dekk Inspiron 531 with a AMD Athlon 64 times 2 dual core processer 5000+ 2.60GHz and 1982 MB of RAM

  • @Lassen2O Probably a ATI Radeon hd 4650 would be the best option.

  • @Whiteheadache thanks alot for the advice i orderd this card hope it works and still gotta figure out how to install it haha

  • @Lassen2O i ment dell

  • @Lassen2O What Dell do you have?

  • What's the difference between No-Dachi Samurai and the regular Katana Samurai? i would appreciate it if i get a reply :D

  • @attomal Other than the unit statisctics in the discription, No-Dachi have Banzai. A special ability wich makes morale unbreakable and increases fighting skills.

  • @Whiteheadache Thanks man, i do appreciate it.

  • @attomal No-Datchi samurai have a huge charge bonus for a foot unit, the charge bonus basicly means they do that much more damage while charging. So the No-datch samurai are better to use as a flanking unit or as a "moral shock" unit but htey cannot survice well in prolonged melee ( A huge no-datch is a great 2 hand sword but becasue of its size it is way less suited for parrying an opponents attack) I personally like to use them to charge spearmen with katana samurai right behind them.

  • @Sakuroshin Alright that sounds great thanks to you too!

  • You would have won if you used Banzai :p

  • Why do no-dachi guys have inferior armour?

  • ur nodachi samurais wouldve proabably won if ur general hadnt died

  • @SaruwatariKaitoKun That's right

  • Nodachi: "O god who's winning"

Katana: "IDK lets bothe run at the same time"

    Great sucess

  • NOOOOO why did u moved the camera i had my eyes on the samuri at 2:10 the one with no helmet that is infront of the camera at the left. He was taking on 3 samurai at the same time and was beating them. I hope he lived. WHYYYYYYYYY did u moved the camre whyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy

  • @DOSU344

He died at 2:41 or so.

Also I love how they both flee xD

"They're routing, let's do the same!"

  • @DOSU344 damn you!! now i keep wondering if he made it

  • I dont like No-Dachi Samurai, they sux alot, not worth getting them because of low armour, and low defense. Katana Samurai is way better than No-Dachi.

  • @bigbrightsky If nodachi get a charge bonus, katana are dead.

  • @NodachiDaimyo duh, and how is that fair when you comparing. Adding bonus to apple while not adding anything to orange.

  • @bigbrightsky All units have their need, i had at a time a unit of marksmen firing hell on the Samurai, untill cavalary came. I had to pull them back, leading the cavalary and samurai into a trap, as they enter the woods the NO-DACHI sprung into action making easy work of cavalary and the remaining samurai. They are not useful as infantry how ever, they are a defencive unit. Keep them always near your general and u will have a elite protection from almost close quater enemies.

  • @DOSU344 quote "they are a defencive unit." how are they defensive unit when they have very low melee defense. To me, NO-DACHI only good at flanking (duh, which melee unit doesnt), fighting head on are crappy. I used them to charging head on with enemy yari agrigashu, I lost 2/3 of the unit be4 enemy start routing. In the case of cavalry fighting in the woods, besides range unit, any infantry could take them down easily.

  • @bigbrightsky U use them as u see fit, your flanking movement might work better for u than for me. As for me having them as a support defence unit seems to work best, and they had no fail me yet.

  • Comment removed

  • @DOSU344 he dies in 2:43

  • keep up the vesus thing on any game and you got my sub :)

  • Send the Nodachi in with banzai, thats what makes em special :)

  • Perhaps and only if you have time or what not( btw I really enjoyed this video!) redo a no-dachi vs kattana samurai battle or use this same battle but do it in slow motion so we could see the fighting between individual katana and nodachi samurai.

  • @HellScryer Like that idea, will do it now!

  • How are you doing these battles? did you pre order the game this is pretty sweet haha =D I love the melee in this game, best melee in all the total war games I think.

  • @bmbheat24 I do these battles with a modification of the Shogun 2 demo

  • @Whiteheadache oh cool, I came across what you are using by doing some research. The battle creator v4 right? Well where are your data files? Thanks for answering by the way I need a little bit of help on how to set it up I think from there though I'll figure it out.

  • @bmbheat24 Go to your steam folder, then to steamapps, then to shogun 2 demo, then to data.

  • @Whiteheadache Thanks a lot man! I can't wait to try this mod out.

  • very interesting test - I guess nodachi will probably excel in flanking and back charging while heavier armor units tank the enemy in front.

  • @seminolePP Yes, you are right. No dachi are specialists. Not ordenary 'line infantry' if you compare it to ETW

  • wait so nodachi doesn't have a clear advantage against katana samurais?

  • @gatxzaft It does, but for some unobvious reason my No-Dachi routed 1 second earlyer, while they had twice as much as men left as the Katana Samurai. You have a bigger advantage if you use the Banzai ability of the No-Dachi. Then the No-Dachi's morale becomes unbreakable and the fighting stats become higher. No-Dachi are better. However, they have little armor. So they have a disadvantage against missile units. What units do you want to see next?

  • @Whiteheadache more hero vs avarage troop battles!

  • @Bioshock4tehwin Ok, I'll make some
