I am familiar with the Clarinet Concerto but I don't have it in my collection anymore since I had a stroke I am no longer able to perform so I sold all my klarinet and saxophone records because it hurts too much to listen to it.
Hi, I am fond of Artie Shaw and Jimmie Lunceford as well but since I had a stroke I don't perform anymore as a bass saxofonists and I noticed that even listening to Artie hurt.
@Tenderness6 Oh man, sorry to hear that - not only the stroke, but the fact that listening to Artie could cause pain.
Still, if you ever change your mind, I've got 57 more Artie Shaw sides posted (including his complete Gramercy 5 Victor label cuts from 1940-1945 on original 78's) and an even 80 Jimmie Lunceford sides (78's) posted ranging from 1934-1946.
Shake hands, guy - drummer here, but my first instrument was alto sax at age 9 (dabbled with trombone in the mid-1990's as well). :)
@Tenderness6 Got lots more Artie Shaw 78's on my channel, if you're interested in taking a peek - Artie & Jimmie Lunceford are my favorite bandleaders & I have a gourd full of 'em both here, both in my main list & my playlists. :)

Very nice! Do you have the faster version by Artie that is at around 200 bpm?

@Tenderness6 thank you so much for Artie Shaw. I love the Grammercy Five especially. Also what about Concerto For Clarinet. Can you post that?

By far my most favorite rendition of this song. With the superb playingtechnique of Artie Shaw

Beautiful. We're so lucky to live in an era when so much of the previous century survives for us to revisit. Fabulous!
