oi oi people, just flicking through. im the president of the club at the mo and i'd like to explain away. we are a uni team (18-21yo) most of the players have never even seen a ball game let alone played before they get to uni.

the closest we get to experience is rugby, where people are built for speed and endurance, as opposed to explosiveness and strength in uni.

we have extremely limited funding from the uni because we are a marginal sport, so developing programmes is hard. to put it in perspective, our best players have gone over to play div II football, and even then not made the grade.

yeah its a different class, but then the arguement goes both ways, eg soccer and rugby.

Us americans have been playing it for quite some time now...so just give them time people.
