  • Wow, loved it... it was great!! Really beautiful.

  • ez why did you do that why the part i wanted to see you fucked up the assembly at 08.50 and at 09,07-09.19 you fucked up a good vid

  • what paper use?

  • @KarlosSlade Use Any paper as long as it's not too thin. You can use regular white paper but it might be a bit too thin. Try and get colored photo copy paper or the heavier inkjet paper. Cardstock will also work, except it looks a bit more detailed as in you can see the folds when you finish it.

  • SERIOUSLY?!?! 30?!?!

  • Do you think this might work with Cardstock? I have some on me, but I'm going to try it with regular paper first, and then go to cardstock.... but before I get to that what would you think? Would it work? Thanks for uploading a tutorial, great vid!

  • Thank you :). The person I gave this star today was really surprised and happy. This could not happen without your video tutorial :)

  • for those who think it s to long:

    learn patience or take Ritalin...

and having taught this model to dozens of people I can say that

-some will never be able to understand how do one module

-some will never be able to memorize the instructions

-some will just look at how to make a module then instantly learn how to make one

-and some will do that and will never understand how to assemble the modules (that is kind of the saddest case)

for those who have tried and faile assembly,

    remember that t

  • I ve known how to do this model for about 6 years but discovered the name today when I found a kit to make one in a supermarket...

I think I did over a hundred of that model and dozens of different ones

origami is great to make peti cash since you can make one for 3 cents of paper and sell it 1€ (€x34)

with a little practice you end up needing half an hour to make one and using only one hand without actually looking at what your doing

  • ok i'm going 2 get lunch and when i come back i better be the first one.

  • now you need to make more 30 units ...

  • A GIRL DIED IN 1993, A MAN BURIED HER IN HER OWN home when she was still alive. The murderer chanted, "Toma sota balcu" as he buried her. Now that you have read the chant, you will meet this little girl. In the middle of the night she will stand at the side of your bed staring straight int your eyes.......She will suff.........ocate you like she was suffocated. This story is sadly true. If you post this 5 different times, she will not bother you

  • can you give me a tip for the last 5 elements? i just can't them get to stick to the others :(

  • absolutely fab!!!! thanks so much for showing us this! just one thing: Bascetta should be pronounced moreorless like this: /basheta/

  • dit kan ik ook

  • I can make the 30 individual units without difficulty. However, when it comes time to put the units together I can't seem to understand what is the flap and what is the pocket in order to put together.Any suggestions as to how to hold and what I should be doing to make it more understandable. THank you.

  • wtf???

  • Nice Video! Very easy to follow... thanks!

  • I have some ideas of making other shapes that are spiky. This for example is an icosahedron with spikes on or its full name "Great Stellated Dodecahedron" but there is nothing stopping you from making spikes that are triangular, square, pentagonal or hexagonal allowing you to make all sorts of shapes for example maybe a spiky rhombicubioctahedron.

  • You have earned a subscription from me :) Very good work! You go nice a slowly which makes it easy to follow. I find a lot of origami videos on YouTube move too quickly and you constantly have to pause them but this is just right!

  • @edwardholmes91 he has also earned my subscription

  • Thank you for posting this.

I made a beautiful star with your instructions-- But I have two extra pieces...

I can't find the side I miss counted yet, but it was a good waste of undisclosed time.

    Thanks!

    ^^

  • Dude this is definitely not intermediate. Never the less awesome video :)

  • to complete this model you need 30 units...''

    Challenge accepted >:)

  • The steps are easy to follow great video. Those who cant do this are people who don`t know how to follow steps!!!!!! =-)=-)=-)

  • i get it!!! just the part of connecting the last unit with the first was a bit confusing

  • the units are easy but assembling it is confusing

  • it dosent work!!!!

  • this is really cool, but a little confusing, I'll probaly watch it again!

  • I don't give a fuck about it!!! It is so damn difficult to assemble!!

  • @chowdermarshmellows it's E-A-S-Y

  • You don't tell us how to connect them you speed through the process. I dislike this video

  • @GothicaGirl07 His explanation of the connection process was perfectly clear; connect corners of 3 until you have the final result of 30 pieces assembled.

  • omg it is soooo sooooos sooooo easy thank you

  • your the person who gives alot of info

  • Your a very clever person... I do like the way you speak through the instructions. Who ever put your voice stinks like a rat... is a dick. :P

  • i did it all but it wasnmt strong enough an d it fell to pieces :(

  • U are the best one on youtube

  • omg i made it thank you man .

  • OMG !!! Thank you Evan !!! I made this one !!!

  • Dear Evan, As a beginner I enjoy your videos very much but have a request. Please do not use fast forward as we beginners like to watch your every move throughout the demonstration. Especially on modular models. We ourselves have fast forward facility to use if we need to. Thank you.

  • Dude, I learned how to make a modular star that looks just like this, but the units are harder to fold and you basically have to glue to keep them there. Thank you for saving me from that D:

  • u r awesome!!! ive been looking 4 this model all day! im gonna make my mum a giant star 4 christmas and didnt find squat til now. also ur magic ball tutorial rocks. thanx. :)

  • @xxLizzyxxs .....Yes, this video is very nice.

The point of 'making that triangle' is to insert

deeply into two faces, means the top's form is sharp.

I hope you try again, and never forget to down them

on the table when you take the third piece.

  • nevermind. ignore my last comment. i tried it with sticky notes and it works great. its actually a pretty easy design and your video made it even easier. good job dude. keep up the awesome origami.

  • can i use stickey notes to make this? they're exactly 3 in.

  • @bartyboy222222222222 actually yes you can. If the paper is 3 in. then of course you can=p

  • ThAnks!

  • you are so good at making origami!

  • I'm confused with what are flaps and what are pockets and I can't make that triangle shape HELP!!!! but it's a great tutorial :)

  • Nice;)
