  • poor dude. killed on his first mission.

  • I'd like to mention that Dr. Migeod fell victim to the list of false friends here:

The German term "Passant" (Passer by) got mixed up with "Peasant", obviously. A very German (and funny) error. :o)=)

  • @eotunun

Might be but I think he really means peasent - read farmer.

  • No problem , mate. Thanks for posting such awesome videos :)

  • From Wiki :- An early order came from the French Armée de l'Air, which was already operating P-36s. The Armée de l'Air ordered 140 as the Hawk 81A-1 but the French military had been defeated before the aircraft had left the factory, consequently, the aircraft were diverted to British and Commonwealth service (as the Tomahawk I), in some cases complete with metric flight instruments

  • @Xiolablu3 You are right; must be the P-36......thanks

  • I'm sure it would have been a P36 , I dont hitnk threre were any French P40's were there?

  • @Xiolablu3 I see on the net that the French P-40's were named Curtiss H-75 and one of these were flown by .Edmond Marin La Meslée and he shot down 3 stukas on 12 May 1940....maybe it was him who shot down Migeod?? aerostories.free.fr/pil_cha_fr/marin/page2.html.

  • @biltongbru Actually, just looking again, apparantly the P36 Curtiss Hawk was called the H-75. According to wikipedia anyway. I thought that all the P40's came too late for France and were sent to Britian instead?

  • My salutes and respects to all honorable soldiers of the WW II.
