In vanilla your healers whent oom so you needed healers on standby / like Hpaladins
in wotlk/cata if you have downed a boss once before you will do it the next time
In wotlk/cata your stats are way to high no healers need to worry about mana issues as long as they gott the right iteams / gems all the gear you need is on the AH.
in wotlk/cata achivments decides if your any good.
I didnt play until after Wrath came out.. so Missed progression in places like Kara and BT... I even missed Naxx and Uld.. the first full raid I finished was ICC and then I went back and did everything else.
i don't play games, but i imagine that on ur free time u rpolly do something just as less productive as playing WoW or whatever. Could be drinking beer on ur couch while watching football, or biting ur nails, it's impossible to state what is productive and what isnt as each individual sees something good in whatever he/she does. I too agree that taking games too seriously is harmful but taking it is a hobby is just as good as anything.

They are very challenging. I admit I'm not very good at PVP so I prefer the adventure and cooperative play of PVE. The new Ruby Sanctum boss Halion has proven to be a pretty difficult challenge for my group.
even mc.. ragnaros and domo. without great comms you were totally fucked. especially in the 40 man environment. new people who started playing at bc and lk who think 25s can get frustrating have no clue really. the 40 mans were a serious zerg manage fest for officers and raid leaders. imo they should bring back a small 40 man encounter instance. those days were the best.
when is the expected release date for it? and does anybody have any idea of when the WoW: the movie, is coming out, everytime im at the movies im sitting on edge waiting for the previews xD
i play on Mal'Ganis, I havnt seen Ttocs on there.... and Aftermath just broke up and joined the Guild Elysium though... so Whatevs, He USE to be pro...

PvP = Free for all hack and slash fest... nothing hard at all... go PvE for cooperative team play. And until you have downed the new bosses in ICC you don't know what a challenge is.
untill you hit 2.5k rating you dont know what PvP is. Its not just a hack n slash fest. Both PvE and PvP take major skill. Real players dominate or at least play both and respect each.
i think out of all the raids i have done which is 90% of all bosses that aq40 would of been the hardest for its lvl i use to run it for rep just a few weeks ago
One in the morning? Our regular raid time ends at 00:30. Thats every damn night. We would prolly go on much longer, but people are employed in our guild.
Oh god raids used to be so different. There was no communication needed, now if your going for endgame content you need a guild that can take you there and you need a medium like ventrillo that will allow you to speak to eachother.
@Ciderhelm Nah, in EQ, communication was SUPER important, but the problem was that it had to be all done in text which made it difficult. For instance, a cleric's complete heal took 10 seconds to complete and was the only valid raid heal. Your tank would be dead long before that heal completed. So what you would have to do is line up your clerics and have them timing their CH's perfectly so there was a CH going off every second. You'd just have to set up a macro and time it yourself.

umm.. back then they werent as they are now. back then there were 40 ppl to manage, and the didnt sit there and do it 24/7. so converting this to the way of playing that time, the difficulty is the same
The reason it took people that long was because of bugs and long fights that would take a long time to wipe also they had no ICC ports like they do now. You wipe? takes you 2mins to get back. Old days 5-10mins for the guild to ready to attack again. The new fights are a lot complex then what they used to be they are just more polished now a days. I remember MC Ragnaros was so buggy it took blizz a mounth to fix the bug. Now a days if there is a bug it's fixed with in days.
Amazing. I wish we could just get this out, make people that don't play games watch this, get them to understand that what we do is not that much different from anything else. If anything, it is closer to real life experience than playing football or watching TV on your couch.

hard to interview people all around the country/world on a 5 dollar budget, not to mention editing, recording equipment, and also have to consider most people wont work for free or on a "we'll pay you when we make money off this" mindset.
Hobbies dont have to be arts or crafts, Majority of males spend there time drinking and watching tv with there frieds so i dont see much difference between all hobbies. some people consider there hobby more of a skill if its towards the arts, Scince or Phsyical activities.

It's the thrill of the raids that makes it so awesome!
I remember tanking Kel'thuzad on The Immortal run... Frostbolt landed on me and I had to move from a Shadow Fisure whilst he was on like 5%...
The adrenaline burst you get and the exitement that builds up through the raid is just.. indescribable

around 6:40 when he's talking about that one boss taking forever.. man I have bad memories. spend 3 hours on Rotface, slowly improving, then when we were sooo close that night someone had to go (it was 2:30 in the morning) and we didn't get that close again for 2 weeks lol. crazy.

if u notice they all all 3 types of people in this vid, the bigger guy looks like the sterotype then guy in green is the average guy and the guy with the hat is the more socialble persone but it shows that any 1 plays WoW or video games in general

hard to interview people all around the country/world on a 5 dollar budget, not to mention editing, recording equipment, and also have to consider most people wont work for free or on a "we'll pay you when we make money off this" mindset.

Hobbies dont have to be arts or crafts, Majority of males spend there time drinking and watching tv with there frieds so i dont see much difference between all hobbies. some people consider there hobby more of a skill if its towards the arts, Scince or Phsyical activities.
