Dear EverydayDriver, I agree with you that the Nissan GTR is not the prettiest car out there. But, each curve and angle on the body is meant to direct wind to the large rear spoiler. This creates loads of downforce which results in the GTR's outstanding handling and aerodynamics.
I also agree with you that it is not everyday friendly as a car, but neither is the Porche 911, or Ferrari 458, or other any other supercar in fact. If anything, the GTR is more everyday friendly than its competitors.
@GTRman97 Actually the 911 is one of the best everyday sports cars period. Each curve of the 458 is all about aero, but its beautiful to look at. All you have to do is look at NIssans GTRs of all years and you see that from day one they have terrible lines.This car is no different. Although the back of the car is awsome looking.
Are these guys high or just stupid... Clearly they didn't research the Skyline. One reason is how they are massively disappointed on how it doesn't look exotic enough and then there surprised on how well it handles... Well, Nissan never intended for the R35 to be an exotic, they where going for pure tuner. To go exotic would sell out the Skyline name and shame the R32, R33, and R34, which in my opinion, are better cars anyway. This isn't a review, its a video styled hating on the best car ever..

@051croatia - What gives you the impression the guys never drove this car quickly? Just because the tires aren't screaming and blowing smoke doesn't actually say anything about the speed of the car. If you watch again you can see the digital speedo on the G-Meter screen - definitely above 40. Similarly, taking a 20mph corner at 40+ would be considered fast, while doing a long straight at 50 would not. Sorry you didn't enjoy the review more, and thanks for watching.

@EverydayDriver If they drive the car like an average old lady, then they should maybe limit their review to ride comfort, the sound system, the boot space, head and leg clearance of the rear seat, etc. When they actually drive the thing (like TOP GEAR does) then they could be legitimate to talk abut the speed, performance and engineering of the car.
@EverydayDriver Ive had a quite a few guys on YT try and tell me that the rear seats are good. I have a good friend with a GTR and he and I both think they suck. I found that the head room does not exist, the seats are very tight , no room for your legs, and front seats have to be moved forward so far that the driver and passenger are too forward at that point.

Everyday driver, you are absolutely correct. The GTR is priced correctly. This car is meant for one thing only and that is go fast and handle extremely well. Look at a BMW or Audi interior and you will see why the Nissan is priced so cheaply. It's a good thing because in ten years there will be no such thing as Honda Civic rice. Almost anyone can hopefully afford a no nonsense piece of sauce.

I own a 911 Turbo and I went for a test drive in a GT-R the other day. The driving experience in the Porsche is raw, simple, easy to drive. On the other hand the Nissan makes it feel like you are driving inside of a super computer or perhaps even a video game. It's like comparing night and day, complete opposites but both are absolutely stunning.
Personally, I absolutely LOVE the looks of the GT-R simply because it is SOOO uniquely Japanese. It's not some wallowy old American barge only good for going in a straight line and it's not some Euro trash wedge mobile that is tiny in the nose and fat in the ass and is virtually indistinguishable from every other wedge mobile from europe. It has curves and angles and accents and arches lines and shoulders and hips sex appeal second to none. But it's not everyones cup of tea. So be it. I love it.

It is beautiful, and it sticks to the Classic design of the original R32-34 Skylines. Unlike the Supra's new concept who attempted to make something completely different and had it end up ugly. Are they really complaining that the interior design is simple and easy to use? It's a sports car. You're reviewing the car like it's a Luxury Sedan. Review it as a Sports Car.
In my opinion the R35 GTR is one of the most beautifully designed supercars, to me it looks absolutely amazing!!! One of the most beautiful looking car on the road! I'd take a GTR over anything!

Are you guys going to review the 2012 nissan GTR??? I heard they upgraded just about everything on the car in and out. I would really like to see a review on that one.
And for the guys reviewing the GTR. The reason for the GTR dropping significantly in price for the 09 models was due to the transmission problems when using launch control and if you used launch control once, it voids your warranty. They fixed it in the later models. But still, 09's go for around 58,000 not 50,000.
Not only are the guys reviewing the car completely wrong but some of the comments as well. SKYLINE is a branch of Nissan for their Japanese Division, in America we have Infiniti. Skyline always made the GT-R but since there was a popular demand in America, they manufactured them under the Nissan name. The last GT-R under Skyline was the R34. Notice the Nissan GT-R is an R35? It's not a super car, it's always been an affordable sports car such as the corvette.
I do agree that this GTR is not the prettiest but you reviewers need to understand what this car is about ! this is a piece of machine that can do thing like a 150grand car can or even better with much lower price tag and you dont see that many people driving around like the Merc or Bmer but this car can stand up for it self with it performance....I own the M3 E46 and the MPS3 and I know these 2 cars are in different catagory but I gotta say that the Japanese can do thing better with less MONEY!

They wanted to make a car that would compete with all the entry-level supercars for half the price. I have driven the GTR before, a R34 and the current R35. The R35 is a different animal, it is not the ideal daily driver. And hell I daily drive a Nismo 350z, theres not backseat!

I found that the head room does not exist, the seats are very tight , no room for your legs, and front seats have to be moved forward so far that the driver and passenger are too forward at that point.
Any imput on that.

Everyday driver, you are absolutely correct. The GTR is priced correctly. This car is meant for one thing only and that is go fast and handle extremely well. Look at a BMW or Audi interior and you will see why the Nissan is priced so cheaply. It's a good thing because in ten years there will be no such thing as Honda Civic rice. Almost anyone can hopefully afford a no nonsense piece of sauce.

I own a 911 Turbo and I went for a test drive in a GT-R the other day. The driving experience in the Porsche is raw, simple, easy to drive. On the other hand the Nissan makes it feel like you are driving inside of a super computer or perhaps even a video game. It's like comparing night and day, complete opposites but both are absolutely stunning.

Personally, I absolutely LOVE the looks of the GT-R simply because it is SOOO uniquely Japanese. It's not some wallowy old American barge only good for going in a straight line and it's not some Euro trash wedge mobile that is tiny in the nose and fat in the ass and is virtually indistinguishable from every other wedge mobile from europe. It has curves and angles and accents and arches lines and shoulders and hips sex appeal second to none. But it's not everyones cup of tea. So be it. I love it.

And for the guys reviewing the GTR. The reason for the GTR dropping significantly in price for the 09 models was due to the transmission problems when using launch control and if you used launch control once, it voids your warranty. They fixed it in the later models. But still, 09's go for around 58,000 not 50,000.

Not only are the guys reviewing the car completely wrong but some of the comments as well. SKYLINE is a branch of Nissan for their Japanese Division, in America we have Infiniti. Skyline always made the GT-R but since there was a popular demand in America, they manufactured them under the Nissan name. The last GT-R under Skyline was the R34. Notice the Nissan GT-R is an R35? It's not a super car, it's always been an affordable sports car such as the corvette.

They wanted to make a car that would compete with all the entry-level supercars for half the price. Me personally I think the GT-R is quite impressive, however not the first car I'd chose with my money if I had the choice.

@TheDezzalution Another thing Nissan has taken the position of putting the GTR in a class that is creeping up on to supercars. Hence why this generation dropped the Skyline name in total. The point of the show is EVERYDAY driver. Hence daily driving or reviews for ownership of the car not a praise worthy circle jerk.
I have driven the GTR before, a R34 and the current R35. The R35 is a different animal, it is not the ideal daily driver. And hell I daily drive a Nismo 350z, theres not backseat!
