According to Ralph Fiennes, when playing Voldemort he had to wear pantyhose, to make his character more glidey or something, I can totally picture him throwing off his long robe now to reveal two tap shoes, and doing an adorable rendition like this.

@DeadlyAntenna He wore tights (pantyhose/stockings) because his costume was quite see-through, and tights being clingy/static by nature helped the light material of his costume cling to his legs in an eerie way.

He also said eventually the crotch of the tights kept riding down and making it irritating to walk in, so asked his dresser to cut them off and make them garters (stopping high on the thigh).

He would then freak out the rather manly crew members with displays of his garter'd inner-thigh
