  • I have known Shannon for a long time. I haven't talked to her in years and today I was going to the Burlington Mall and there was a car with a photo of her. I went to ask if this picture was the Shannon from Woburn and the woman responded, "Yes."

I realized it was her mom. I met Shannon and her mother maybe 10 years ago. I remember her smile, who could ever forget that smile.

I was shocked and sadden by the news of my friend.

R.I.P Shannon - I will be in touch with your family and friends.

  • No one understands this unless they deal with it. I feel alone, and I don't have the energy to fight anymore. If I leave here at the hands of my abuser, I hope I meet up with Shannon in heaven to tell her how much people loved her. Not like me, with no one that understands. God Bless your family.

  • nice vid....i lost my sister Starlena, she was set on fire by her boyfriend last year..he still is not convicted....you can see her story on my channel...thx for her story, she is very beautiful and it looks like she had a great life , hopefully someone will see these stories and seek the help that they need, i have the hotline number on my video...again..thx God bless

  • This video was very difficult for me to watch. Shannon had long curly ringlets just like my sister. She was shot point blank in the head by her husband the night she tried to leave. Shortly after, killed himself. There isn't a day go by that I don't think of her. Our lives will never be the same. My heart goes out to Shannon's family. I know how hard this is for you.

October is Domestic Violence Awareness and Prevention Month. I wish we had a tribute like this for my sister.

  • To Cousin Bobbi: my love and blessings go out to you and your family. I cry when I watch these videos. I lost my best friend Julie in a similar manner. He shot her point blank with 4 rounds. Every time I go home to Boston, and I mean EVERY TIME, I visit her grave and leave notes to her Mom and I give Julie presents from Canada. I will never get over the pain. It will dwell with me forever until I pass on and see her again. Much love, Diana

  • she was so beautiful.

  • there should be a database listing all men and women convicted of domestic abuse and it should be acessable free of charge. It should have the abusers full name and picture. would be a great tool for many who are dating.

  • This happens to FOUR women EVERY day in the US...DOJ Crime statistic...We must put a stop to it. I am sorry so sorry for her family. She was precious, and you got that across so well in her tribute.

  • Hi, Love the video. I have a question what is the name of the 2nd song playin in this video? Just love the lyrics.

    Thanks

  • its called 'like you'll never see me again' by alicia keys

  • My prayers go out to her family and friends, I'm trurly sorry for your loss. Every time I watch this video tears come out of my eyes, how cold hearted people in this world can be.

  • Shannon, You grew up to be such a beautiful intelligent young woman.I watched you grow up into a young lady full of promise &

happiness. You truly are the closest thing to a sister that anyone could ever want. You were the happiest and funniest girl anyone would wanna be around.I'll never forget lil

snowball. When you were little you would only eat chicken nuggets & Dominos pizza. I am gonna miss you so much. You are loved by all of us, your family and friends.I love you & will miss you. Love,Sean

When Shannon was little she learned "Bah bah black sheep" and she said "the yittle boy who lived down the lane." Not little. Yittle.

While eating brownies Shannon made for a cookout, some one found a silver or gold anklet cooked right into the brownies. Arlene was horrified and couldn't figure out where it came from...we were all laughing...Shannon didn't understand why it was so funny.

I used to always ask her for a curl, and she would always pretend to give me one.

  • i am sorry to hear her story but unfortunately there are a lot of women that live like this on a daily basis loved your video and this tribute to her life

  • Artie used to pick her up on the weekends and they went to Bickford's (at Wellington Circle) ALL THE TIME and he used to give her a bunch of quarters to play that game where you control the claw to pick up a stuffed animal. He let her play until she won...every time. One time he bought her a little bank shaped like an apple. You put a quarter or a penny or whatever on this little spot of the apple and a little green worm would come out and get it. It was really cute. She loved it. Bobbi (2)

I remember the day Arlene was going to the hospital to have Shannon. I was in the pool at Medford St with my cousin Patty and as Arlene was "waddling" to the car. I was yelling "Have a boy. Have a boy." And Patty was yelling "Have a girl. Have a girl." I remember when Arlene had a girl I was upset with Patty because I thought it was her fault.

She called my mother "Uncle Patty."

  • I remember Shannon as a little girl, as we grew up together. We are all family. Shannon had the prettiest curly hair and a great smile. She was adorable. She looked exactly like her mother. Then she grew up to be a beautiful young lady. Shannon will be greatly missed and never forgotten. Love you always.

    Love,

    Heather

  • Rest In Peace

  • My heart aches every time I watch this video. Shannon was a beautiful child. We must put an end to this violence. What a crime this sweet girl's life was cut short. And such pain for the family and friends to endure, a shame.
