  • Nutrition and health are so important and can really be instrumental in improving someone's life.   • Orthomolecular Medicine is a term coined by Linus Pauling on a scientific paper he wrote in 1968, I like the way you present nutrition subjects, it bring a fresh aproach to this important subject, another thing you should consider is the depletion of nutrients on modern fruits and vegetables due to extensive farming practices and the use of synthetic fertilizers and pesticides, not everyone can have an all organic diet but we can all try, pharmaceutical grade vitamins can help

  • 1. Heart healthy diet i.e. salmon, tuna, veggies, fruits, whole grains, etc.(eliminate trans fat and processed foods)

  • Thanks for posting this! I used to weigh almost 400 lbs, till I went for lap band surgery.and because of this, I put more care into what goes thru my mouth. I am interested in the nutritional value rather than the taste of the food i eat. if you want to successfully lose massive amount of weight and live in LA, check out southcoastlapband. they are the best in this field.

  • No such thing as being "healthy". Health exists but healthy does not.

    There is nothing that will cure all of your diseases. Most diseases are in fact linked to dust, parasites, worms, fungi, bacteria, genetics, toxic plants, and have nothing to do with "diet".

    You can't cure disease with diet. Its just not possible. The best way to help solve a disease is to prevent it, there is no other way. Everything else is just marketing.

    No matter what, there is going to be disease in the world.

  • @hodoboc Of course it's healthy! It had starch, vegetable and dairy! Over eating is when it gets unhealthy and is a disadvantage to your health. :)

  • @hodoboc i'd stay away from pizza entirely because of the crust. The crust isn't that healthy. it has refined carbs which gets converted into sugar once it enters your body. always stick with whole grains.

  • That's so true. I used to be paramedic and we didn't have much time to eat, so most of the time we just had pizza, fries und candy. Now I'm a student, eating healthy and feeling so much better :)

  • @kipchak007 No. Vitamins are just supplements, they are there to help a healthy diet. Vitamins are important still because the way our foods are made today, even eating all healthy foods is not enough to get the optimal nutrition

  • yes but you forgot to get into the details of the food your naming. People cant just go buy any kind of bread or spinach. Monsanto's controls almost all our food supply and some of our food that was once known to have nutrition value has slim to none any more. Organic is the way to go. This is good info but it can be misleading because of the lack of detail.

  • sopka1985, sorry but your wrong, jenpaxton your right, 'all' oils derived from vegetable sources are very high in omega 6, and v. low in omega 3, you want to increase your consumption of omega 3 because most people do not get enough (through eating non-organic animal products, with the wrong ratio of these fats).

  • I take a great multi vitamin, but I double up on it, cause I know.. my Whopper Jr. diet was not cutting it.  But then yeh, i noticed the lathargic attitude and depression etc, but my doctor hooked me up with some sweet anti-depressants. Sometimes I double up on those too, especially when I'm hitting the bottle whew, it's tough! I tell ya. anyways thanks for the video, it's sweet. I will hit the vitamin store with greater rigor.
