Are you sure it's Him getting a hold of you in this manner? You'd better be testing the spirits according to His word. The scripture you're talking about ,they are speaking of Tongues of interpretation and how if someone is used in that gift they should pray for the interpretation to edify the church. The Holy Ghost comes when the Word of God is being preached....music and running does not stir anything but the flesh. If you "Repent" , you shall get Christ the Holy Ghost... 'NOT JESUS"!!! jesus is dead and his name is cursed: Galatians 3:13 cursed is everyone that hangs on a tree! There is no salvation in the "curse of Jesus"....Christ is the name under heaven whereby men must be saved...Repent! the Holy Bible has been changed and whole verses are missing...

Regarding the people in the upper room on the day of Pentecost. We run risk of being in error when we speak above that which is written in the Word. We are told emphatically that the only thing that was happening when the spirit fell on them is that they were speaking languages fluently that they never learned. There's not one reference to anyone dancing and falling out like primates. The spirit of God is CONTROLLED, and does not act unseemly, nor MAKE anyone act unseemly, like David did.
I will let you go on and believe what you want...that I am empty and searching, if it at all makes you feel better about yourself. But here's the deal...the things that I'm searching for is not to behave like a crazed maniac before the King of Kings. Behavior like this in the presense of a king(Dancing around, falling backwards)is the ultimate in disrespect. In the presense of kings, YOU BOW, or LAY PRONE. Regarding Michal being struck with barrenness. It would have never happened if David hadn't engaged in behavior unseemly for a king. See how he was wearing a LINEN EPHOD? For one, linen ephods were the attire of priests. David had no business wearing it, let alone dancing uncontrollably so that it would fall off and reveal his nakedness. When we engage in unseemly behavior, we cause the word of God to be unfruitful. THAT'S the message in Michal's barreness.
If this be true, that David was behaving in a way that was a sin against God, why do we not see God correcting him. The message in Michal's barreness is not about her barreness, but it's about a king who stripped himself of his pride to praise the LORD as the LORD's express presence was coming back. That's the message.

I said that these were things that were unfit for kings to do. David was wearing clothing that were meant for priests, and he wasn't a priest. This is nothing like what happened in Azusa. Actually for those of you that know the history of 312 Azusa St in Los Angeles 1906, will know that it was a short lived ministry. Some were even getting hypnotized inside the building, trying to speak in tongues and feels ecstasies.

You don't need music to rejoice in this way. David danced before the Lord. The Psalms teaches us to praise him in the dance. This dance is not the "dance team" but it is our response to a particular manifestation of the Holy Ghost. This is not a measure of how spiritual one is. If one bases his/her experience on the dance(or shout as it is called) then the experience is shallow. However, there is NO moving of the Holy Ghost that is shallow.

Hey, we are all human. We all gotta' understand that God loves us unconditionally. The biggest thing a true christian can do is what you've done, repenting and apologizing. It's great to see people praise God with jumping and expressing their joy in the flesh, but it's even nicer to see people really getting lost in the spirit. We don't see much of that any more.
I agree with you. Not only will it be nicer, but much more rewarding. Dumb will talk, deaf hear, sick healed, yokes broken, the poor have the gospel preached to them as Jesus said, confirming the prophecy of Esias.
Oh yes we do, but it may not be where we think too look. There are new moves arising where there a bunches of young ppl soaring higher in the spirit than any groups done ever before, and great manifestetions of Gods power happens. But it can be hard for former leaders and folks of older revival churches to accept the new breed. But thats nothing new. However things look brigher than ever, since it seems theres a new unity among the fathers and the sons now. Good stuff.

Regarding the people in the upper room on the day of Pentecost. We run risk of being in error when we speak above that which is written in the Word. We are told emphatically that the only thing that was happening when the spirit fell on them is that they were speaking languages fluently that they never learned. There's not one reference to anyone dancing and falling out like primates. The spirit of God is CONTROLLED, and does not act unseemly, nor MAKE anyone act unseemly, like David did.

Regarding Michal being struck with barrenness. It would have never happened if David hadn't engaged in behavior unseemly for a king. See how he was wearing a LINEN EPHOD? For one, linen ephods were the attire of priests. David had no business wearing it, let alone dancing uncontrollably so that it would fall off and reveal his nakedness. When we engage in unseemly behavior, we cause the word of God to be unfruitful. THAT'S the message in Michal's barreness.

If this be true, that David was behaving in a way that was a sin against God, why do we not see God correcting him. The message in Michal's barreness is not about her barreness, but it's about a king who stripped himself of his pride to praise the LORD as the LORD's express presence was coming back. I said that these were things that were unfit for kings to do. David was wearing clothing that were meant for priests, and he wasn't a priest. One of them is SELF CONTROL(Gal 5:23). I don't think people like you really have a grasp of what "the Spirit" is, or does. Dancing around like a crazed animal is not "the spirit." All those are good OLD TESTAMENT scriptures. However, the new covenant is spiritual, and is not according to the flesh. Buck dancing and shouting and foaming at the mouth all may feel good to the FLESH, but does NOTHING to the spirit. We are to put off all this nonsense of the flesh. Yes, buckdancing feels good, but it profits little(1 Tim 4:8). Godliness is profitable unto ALL things. So, we need less buckdancing and more holy living

I'm not trying to "win" anything twisted. I know that displays of the flesh doesn't move God, for the FLESH PROFITS NOTHING(John 6:63). You say God is the same yesterday, today and forever...but the customs of the old testament arent. For one thing, God never said that he was pleased with David's dancing, that is conjecture on your part. Kings were not to dance and conduct them selves that way, especially disrobing like David did. People love to interject David's dancing to support this display of the flesh. For one, David's antics was OLD TESTAMENT stuff. The early church didn't carry on with this fleshly nonsense. Two, David was also known as a BLOODY man(2 Sam 16:8), which is why his life was in so much turmoil, and why God didn't allow him to build the temple. This is nothing like what happened in Azusa. Actually for those of you that know the history of 312 Azusa St in Los Angeles 1906, will know that it was a short lived ministry. Filled with delusions, chaos, disorder, and false doctrine. The founder William Seymour even taught that if you did not speak in tongues, you can not be saved. Some were even getting hypnotized inside the building, trying to speak in tongues and feels ecstasies.

You don't need music to rejoice in this way. David danced before the Lord. The Psalms teaches us to praise him in the dance. This dance is not the "dance team" but it is our response to a particular manifestation of the Holy Ghost. This is not a measure of how spiritual one is. If one bases his/her experience on the dance(or shout as it is called) then the experience is shallow. However, there is NO moving of the Holy Ghost that is shallow.

Hey, we are all human. We all gotta' understand that God loves us unconditionally. The biggest thing a true christian can do is what you've done, repenting and apologizing. Oh yes we do, but it may not be where we think too look. There are new moves arising where there a bunches of young ppl soaring higher in the spirit than any groups done ever before, and great manifestetions of Gods power happens. But it can be hard for former leaders and folks of older revival churches to accept the new breed. But thats nothing new. However things look brigher than ever, since it seems theres a new unity among the fathers and the sons now. Good stuff.
