  • it was the best gernan team ever period.

  • the great brian moore!

  • Yugoslavia had a good team indeed, they got the chnce to advance to the semifinals but lost the chance missing the penalty later, too bad the nation went throught bad times after the world cup

  • In my mind, THE best world cup ever, excellent through and through, but a bad final!

Off topic, does anyone know/recognise the music in the background of Belgium's 2nd goal Vs South Korea?

  • yugoslavia was the best team!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • 2 goals by Voller were own goals...

  • GERMANY!!!!!!!!!

  • UAE was like Saudi Arabia in 2002 : a comic team !

  • jajaja of course!!!

  • @itandje666 2002 True... but Saudi Arabia was worst, indeed.... at least UAE could say that they scored against the Champions of that Cup......Just imagine how the scorer would say it to his kids and nieces.... hehe...

  • The best Germany Soccer Team of all time. Klinsmann, Mathaeus, Völler, Littbarski, Möller, Brehme, Kholer, Berthold, etc. Great team

  • Ok, thanks Kavon

  • I have one question for specialists - when Colombia lost against Germany 0:1, how team was promoted to finals? USA? Austria?

  • There were six groups in Italia '90, with four teams each. In order to get 16 teams in the second round, the top two in each group, plus the four best third-placed sides, went through to the second round. Colombia finished third behind Germany and Yugoslavia but still managed to make it.

  • But commentator said "Colombia need one point to qualify" - also what team went through when Colombia lost against Germany (not reach one point)?

  • Complicated - Colombia were playing in group D. Austria (Group A) and Scotland (Group C) had already finished their group games and finished third in their group with two points. The two third-placed teams with the worst records would not qualify for the second round. So for Colombia to qualify, the minimum they had to do was finish third and get at least three points. Since they had already beaten United Arab Emirates, a draw with Germany would give them the point they needed.

  • Ok, but it isn't go about it, I know that. WE purpose such FINAL score in the group:

    Germany - Colombia 1:0 (not 1:1)

So in 1/16 who will be play against Cameroon, when Colombia not reach this one needed point??? Austria or Scotland?

  • had germany beaten colombia 1-0, colombia still would advanced after the dust cleared because their 2-0 victory over UAE would have given them a goal differential of zero.

austria and scotland were actually DEAD EVEN. both had 1 win, 2 loses, 2 goals for, 3 agianst (and 2 pts with a -1 goal differential). had colombia lost by 2-0, they too would have identical records to austria and scotland and FIFA would have to draw lots to decide which team would advance

  • Germany - Colombia 1-1

The narrator says that Colombia needed one point to qualify "AND THEY GOT IT". That's when they show Colombia's goal. Colombia defeated the UAE, lost another game (can't remember who it was against), tied against Germany, made it to the second round, were limiated by Cameroon.

  • Yes yes i know that..... But what's hapenned IF COLOMBIA LOST THIS GAME AGAINST GERMANY, NOT WON ???? Who was qualifyed to the next round instead Colombia???

  • If the final score was Germany 1-0 Colombia, Colombia would still have qualified, since their two points and zero goal difference would have been enough. But they wouldn't have known this at the time the match was played, since other teams in other groups could still have finished third and over-taken them. So three points was the minimum they needed to be certain of qualifying.

  • @boyacosweep lost to Yoguslavia 0-1

  • That's right - Yugoslavia + Croatia = bomb!

Goal from Rincon against Germany was fantastic.... and celebration better - what a emotions :D

  • That´s one of the sad aspects of European football in the early 90s: Yugoslavia might have developed into a team capable to win the European Cup or even the World Cup - but then there was this terrible Civil War, and everything was over....

  • @stipefan11

    Aye.

The Yugoslavia team by 1994-ish, would potentially have been one of the greatest of all time. They were almost certain to steamroll Euro '92. :(

  • Instead, Denmark did..

Denmark which was well beaten by Yugoslavia just before Euro 92.

  • Klinsmann goal was good, too... Fantastic diving header

  • why is there no reply of matthaeus goals??? the best goal in the whole world cup and no reply?? Thanks for uploading though

  • Great goal yes but Baggio's goal against the Czechs and Italy's goal against Argentina are my favorites.

  • i meant replay! sorry

  • Cheers for the upload geezer...:)
