@Jamiesmusicmachine this isn't possible, although there are some effects which are essentialy two effects rolled into one. Usually this means delay with an other effect. Of course, if you're using loops, you can layer any effects you want by resampling, one by one.

Yes you definitely can, you need a square usb to rectangular one (can't be bothered looking up the name) if you want to do it by computer, or you can sample stuff off your mp3/ipod, or plug in an amp from an electric instrument (guitar/bass/whatever)
It is very good for sampling things of your ipod as it has the align tempo button which will 95% of the time pick up the tempo and then you can record for a certain amount of bars (up to 16)
Hey I need a bit of help. I'm trying to record vids like this one: I have out cables that convert into an mp3 jack so that I can plug the jack into my iPod nano 5g and record the vid. However, even though everything is plugged in, the iPod only records outside noise and not what I am playing on the KP3. sure thing. the Kaoss Pad's are effects processors which are controlled by the XY pad in the centre of the unit. each axis has an intensity of 0.1-9.9. they're great fun, but they don't generate many sounds of their own, mainly just about 10settings have sounds. hope that helps

It works as a sampler as well, if fact it is not meant to be a sampler but you can do it as well, you can use a SD card to storage some samples and also backup your effects.
I dunno what your band wants, but this is a really interesting effect unit to be added in live performances.
Yes Its a 4 track sampler as u see 4 keys on the bottom u can set a sample to play on each track. Above that is the slicer #1-8 it slices the beat like hot butter giving u the ability to rearrange the pattern of the sample. The knob allows u to change thought its various filter, effect, and delay settings. The Screen consists of a X and Y axis giving u the ability to change the parameter of the effect, or filter, being applied.

The KP3 is an effects pad and sampler, meaning it manipulates and loops any external sources that you input into it.
The Kaossilator is a synth, meaning it contains its own sounds that you can manipulate. There is no sampler, so the sounds you get from the Kaossilator are the ones you're stuck with.
The KP3 does have a synth, but it's extremely limited. They're two different things, so it's hard to compare them.
enter shikari does use an XY pad, but the one in sorry your not a winner is not this. i suggest you find out exactly what they use if you want to make something like them.
for pads they use a KP3 (the one shown here) and a KP2, the KP3 is used for samples obviously the KP2 for effects etc, its used with the electribe EMX i think. hope that helps x
this one has way more functions and samples, it has an in and out put, it's got an SD slot, kaossilator is like a toy, it way more expensive (tho in my oppinion worth the money)

Ideally you would want reference monitors or high end headphones but the KP 3 is a self contained unit. To make and get the most out of it's midi and sampling capabilities you'd want to invest in some other gear but it's a stand alone unit.

THe kp3 does not have the sounds you are hearing in it. you have to download sounds into it but as soon as u get the hang of it it is really easy. I can hook mine up to my buddies turntables and record the sound he makes and play it back and mix it. You will really enjoy this if u buy it.

This is an amazing piece of equipment, for both live and studio effects and sampling. I just ordered one to use alongside the Korg PadKontrol, the Edirol PC-80, Acid Pro 7.0, and also Traktor 3. I feed my controllers with thousands of sounds from Native Instruments, via the Kore Player and Absynth 4. With the KP3 in the mix, I am able to make professional music that sounds AWESOME all within one little room in my house. If anybody wants to really take it to the next level, get the KP3!!!

Yes I have one. They are good but very limited in functionality. Better of with KP3. You can get loads of samples free from sites on the web. I have 300 from the Jupiter 8 synth. I can send you those if you have email.
How can you conect by only rca´s the kp3 to the computer? i mean, if it its directly to the mic input, that means that your pc has a very good sound card right????
Though you could feasibly connect the output to a computer through a sound card and mic port with a stereo RCA->1/8" cord, I would assume that he has an audio interface like the M-Audio Firewire 410. Personally, I have a MOTU Traveller and I love it. I have my computer, kaoss pad, synth, and guitar plugged into it and I can route anything into the kaoss pad with ease.

yes, you can run guitar through KP3, but you'll need some sort of Di Box in between or anything like that to send proper signal into it

for pads they use a KP3 (the one shown here) and a KP2, the KP3 is used for samples obviously the KP2 for effects etc, its used with the electribe EMX i think. hope that helps x

this one has way more functions and samples, it has an in and out put, it's got an SD slot, kaossilator is like a toy, it way more expensive (tho in my oppinion worth the money)

i'm buying 1 soon hopefully I read that you need dj equipment for to be used or can you just create stuff from a synth for example or on the pc instead as i have no dj equipment so would be pointless me getting 1 if thats the only way!?

Ideally you would want reference monitors or high end headphones but the KP 3 is a self contained unit. To make and get the most out of it's midi and sampling capabilities you'd want to invest in some other gear but it's a stand alone unit.

Is this a relatively new model that Korgg has come out with? It's sick! I take it that the device takes samples and adds effects loops much like the first generation Kaoss Pad, but what more is it capable of?

THe kp3 does not have the sounds you are hearing in it. you have to download sounds into it but as soon as u get the hang of it it is really easy. I can hook mine up to my buddies turntables and record the sound he makes and play it back and mix it. You will really enjoy this if u buy it.

I believe, the kp3 has its loops, but the cool thing is taking your own loops created on (Fl8, reason..etc etc,) and putting them into the kp3..

This is an amazing piece of equipment, for both live and studio effects and sampling. I just ordered one to use alongside the Korg PadKontrol, the Edirol PC-80, Acid Pro 7.0, and also Traktor 3. I feed my controllers with thousands of sounds from Native Instruments, via the Kore Player and Absynth 4. With the KP3 in the mix, I am able to make professional music that sounds AWESOME all within one little room in my house. If anybody wants to really take it to the next level, get the KP3!!!

is it possible to make good music using only the KP3, i've ordered one to use alongside my band, who play kinda rock music. I dont have any inputs but the guitarist is considering buying a koassilator and we were going to try singing through it. Im also interested in making music like this. Is the KP3 a combo of the kaossalatior and mini kp? ALSO can u hook up your ipod to it and distort the song(like the mini kp), and can you add effects to it like a syth(like a kaossalatior)

Yes you can mate, it has built in RADIAS synth engine sounds. This is part of what you are hearing now.

Yes I have one. They are good but very limited in functionality. Better of with KP3. You can get loads of samples free from sites on the web. I have 300 from the Jupiter 8 synth. I can send you those if you have email.

How can you conect by only rca´s the kp3 to the computer? i mean, if it its directly to the mic input, that means that your pc has a very good sound card right????

Though you could feasibly connect the output to a computer through a sound card and mic port with a stereo RCA->1/8" cord, I would assume that he has an audio interface like the M-Audio Firewire 410. Personally, I have a MOTU Traveller and I love it. I have my computer, kaoss pad, synth, and guitar plugged into it and I can route anything into the kaoss pad with ease.

Yeah, fruity loops is fine. I personally use Reason. Really, you could use anything.
And it accepts just about every sound file format.
