Well, I will say only 2 positive things here. This song takes some balls to cover, and the female singer has an awesome voice. On to the dude singer.. Take some voice lessons from a coach that can help you learn to bridge to your head voice and you will be dangerous. Your placement is good, just need to bridge and learn better support.
Not too good...seriously though, The Haunting a hard song to cover in two ways: First of all the orchestral/effect arrangement you lose without a keyboardplayer and backing effects. Secondly it's bloody hard to sing as Khan. You shouldn't have covered this song with your current line-up. Take it as a lesson and just go on to playing something more fitting for the instruments you have. :)
Male Singer - When perform, don't put your hand in your pocket. Try to stay focussed. Your voice hasn't got an large area so try the song a bit lower. You can then put in more emotion.
Band: your to loud, therefor you don't hear the vocals.
Female Vocal: don't try to overrush the song. it then sounds more like screaming then singing.
For complete band: try to practice more, and take songs you can combine with eachother. Keep Rocking guys.
There's a lot of potential here, I like it as it is, but like people have said, the vocals are really pretty flawed. I suggest that you learn the vocal part on piano, and then sing every note with it, and learn the songs structure note for note. This is especially true of the female singer here, it will make a huge difference. As for the male vocalist, try taking larger breaths, you seem too strained for Roy's high notes. Otherwise, good performance.
No need to hate on the male singer so much, people. The female singer is more of a problem if you ask me. That said, both of you sang the chorus HORRIBLY. Practice, practice, practice...
No, but it definately sounded strained, to the point where it wasn't great sounding at all. And I agree with the chorus part...their voices clash for some reason. He sounds strained..and, I don't know. she's a little flat or something.
ufffff........ I think... vocals are too bad, zero expression and power!!!! (the girl is better)... and the guitar, killed the song!!... especially the last SOLO, is not virtuous but too feeling (original version).
You need more work.
Sorry, but "The Haunting" is one of my favorite song and Kamelot is one of my favorite bands.
And Simone ufff...... I love that girl, she is THE BETTER..
I gotta sympathise with these guys, this is a very difficult song to sing, especially for the male part as it is quite high. You really gotta use more air (it sorta sounds like ur squeaking it out). For a first show, not a bad attempt.
The singer is singing way to high with barely any power. He is also quite out of tune.
The female singer can't reach all the high notes (but then again, Simone Simmons is one of the best female vocalists in the world so can't blame her). I'd say that with some practise she can controle her high notes better and that would improve her vocals a lot. The male singer... well... I'd dump him...
Band is pretty good, not much too comment there. The vocals make or break the band in this case

sry, but covering the Khan is perhaps one step to hard... or two...
I sure won't do better....IF I would try. Perhaps you should have played "Slayer" as your drummer wanted:)

You has to show more emotion when you sing.
You must feel the music inside of you.
The voices of the singers must be higher than the instruments, because I dont hear the voices.

You officially almost ruined this song for me. You are lucky Roy Kahn is amazing enough to over ride the shittiness of this rendition.
