  • looks like a good job you did and i'm sure your sister in law very much apperciated ....i also have a oklahoma joe and love it ..?? for you how do you like that warmer box and was it to do...

  • shut the door man , your losing heat. lol i cook brisket all the time . cool video. i like using white oak, doesnt overpower the meat flavor . i use charcoal for most of the heat, just throw in a piece of fresh white oak . i also make a foil tray under the brisket and line it with a bed of sliced onions, lay the brisket on them, then the juices build up and it wont dry out.

glad to hear your old ladies doing good. best wishes

  • You are right my friend, bbq is a passion. I bbq every weekend. My friends all want me to enter bbq competions they tell me I'm that good at it. I use hickory on my briskets also, like it better than mesquite. Just thought I'd put my 2 cents in. By the way good luck on your trucking career. I drove a semi truck for 17 years its a good life had a lot of good times out there. I now drive a bus in the city where I live. Take care!

  • Hey Skoggit,

Right now I work for Lowe's as a delivery driver. I was going to go OTR, but the wife didn't me being out 2 weeks and home 2 days. I thought the title was true about BBQ. It takes time, patience and you can't rush a good thing! Let me know if you enter a BBQ cook-off! I'd like to know how you did.

    Take care!

    BTT
