  • ESTA BIEN, EN ESTE VIDEO NO HAY COMPETENCIA, PERO SI LA HUBIERA SEGURO LA NIVA GANARÍA, LA CHEROKEE ES MUY PESADA, DE DISTANCIA ENTRE EJES MUY LARGA, ÁNGULOS DE SALIDA Y ATAQUE MUY CERRADOS, PRIMERO APRENDE Y DESPUES OPINÁ.

  • cherokee is one of my feaveret 4x4 it realy mixes of road on road driving but what i see in this vedio is over doing thingsthese 4x4s are difrent clases and defrent drivers will also give you defrent results.

  • truck trials tatra

  • nice video;)

  • I own a Mahindra from 1970 (perfect condition, no problems so far, see my videos), and here in Macedonia there are a lot of Nivas - I must say they are pretty capable, inexpensive and there are cheap spare parts on every corner... Drivers have a lot of influence in competitions like these... Still, I'll stick to my Jeep but I respect Nivas too

  • o so u live in greece!? that is where Macedonia is

  • excellent video! excelent song! I had a Niva and it's a f** great off road vehicle, with the original engine. Viktord1 is right. I remember that on the low gears, the Niva climb walls!!

  • ambos son malos

  • part 3:

Although they belongs to different class of 4x4 both are good performers The jeep have a long trail of knowledge but still have misses but an ecxellent performer. The russian is basic too basic could be less spartan and more power on engine and a more logical electrical system and a availability of spare parts bur still a good "hill goat".

  • part 2

NIVA: very wide for this size less prone to turnovers, due to its short wheelbase it highly drivable BUT it should have more power, I think engine should be at least 150 hp instead of the actual 85hp. Trannie is top say unbeatable on this acpect "all time 4x4" is fantastic. Spare parts are scarce, electrical system suks.

  • Hey I owned both:

CHEROKEE plenty of power (great) but long wheelbase means less driveability. Unconfortable in back seats weak on the steering box (mine fell down and allmost crash), dangerous had to reinforce frame. ,little touchy with motor temperature. (I live in the tropics). part 1

  • ti na klasei mwre h psoli to cherocke?? paliouras milaei edw

  • Me disculpa hermano, ¿cuale es la supuesta competencia? yo no veo al lada en ningún momento compettir frente a la cherokee, así que no digan estupideces que el niva no es superior a la cherokee. Tengan probidad.

  • how about english?

  • por lo qeu vi al niva no lo meten por donde meten a la cherokee

CHEROKEE BEST CAR IN THE WORLD

  • NIVA is more better than Cherokee!!!! Where is the NIVA video???

  • unde anume in giurgiu este ca eu sunt din giurgiu :D

  • este in judetul giurgiu nu in orasul giurgiu. drumul dintre buc si giurgiu mai exact

  • where is the video of lada ?

    xexexexe

  • we were afraid niva would break apart if stressing too much

  • I woul not say that they are really built tuff too tuff (lot of steel) a 2121 weights 100 kilos less than the wrangler. Niva 85 hp 1300 kg, wrangler 1400 kg 200hp, BIG diffrerence. I guess most peolpe have this impression, but a friend of mine addapted a v6 Isuzu Rodeo (185 hp) on a Niva and that one is invincible. It became a serious vehicle.

  • you dont need a lot of power if the car has good low gears

  • Totally agreed, But after owning or driving Land cruisers, L.Rovers, CJ5 - 7, isuzu troopers, Niva, Cherokee and now I own a Blazer S10, I must say that some spare power helps a lot, specially in very diffucult situation (less clutch burning).

  • yea i agree with you. it'd be nice if they had a torquey diesel as an option. that would certainly add some driveability to the car.

  • There was a niva with 1.9 diesel

  • how about a 4bt cummins tractor engine. gooooood torque, low gears, short wheelbase.. jeep tranny or something. mmm. that thing would go anywhere

  • You've obviously never seen a Niva in a crash. Saw one get T-boned at about 65km/h, by a '91 Mitsubishi Magna (Think late model Toyota Camry) wagon pulling an 18 foot poptop caravan. The B-pillar only moved about 55mm. Although shaken up, nobody got seriously hurt in this crash. How do I know? I was driving the tow truck that was rescuing both cars.

  • @Mechknight73 You have Niva cars in Australia?

  • @smolVAD Yes we do. I think it was about 1988 that they first arrived here. I don't see too many sold of late, but there are still quite a few of them on the road

  • @Mechknight73 Cool!!! I think russian UAZ can sale too. How you think about who's better Niva or Hummer H2?

  • @smolVAD If they've stopped using FIAT engines, the Niva by a very large margin. Small, lightweight, tough and efficient versus thirsty, lumbering, difficult to work on and an embarrassingly large turning circle

  • @Mechknight73 I heared about new class of engines in Niva and Lada, but they make injected engine. I think this engine good for city places, but in sands or field it can make bad position in fixing. But if they start use disel engine it's will be non stop car.

  • @smolVAD If they are using the GM engine I'm thinking of, they'll be good for just about anything but water crossings. GM Holden used to build a 2 litre engine that was exported to many companies, and they are capable of a certain amount of abuse. They have many options for readily available diesel engines, and GM-sourced diesels aren't that hard to find

  • @Mechknight73 Good engines from GM, but Niva will be to expensive, so people stop buying niva anymore! It costs 9 000 dollars

  • @smolVAD Possibly, although a readily available "optional engine" will allow them to increase sales. Serious 4 wheel drivers will flock to a diesel Niva. They have to use newer engines to stay ahead of the pollution emissions standards anyway

  • @Mechknight73 You heared about new chevrolet niva?

  • @smolVAD Actually, I have. You'll find that versions of the used a Holden 2 litre 4 cylinder engine. Holden is the Australian division of GM. The Current Chevrolet Camaro was designed and developed by Holden, they just handed Chevrolet the blueprints to put it into production

  • @Mechknight73 Maybe vaz will be a part of chevrolet corp!

  • @smolVAD The new Niva does look a lot like one of GM's smaller 4WDs, but can't be 100% sure which body it's based on. I have a hunch it's a superceded Isuzu (GM Japan)

  • @Mechknight73 Maybe your right, it sems like Toyota and Suzuki make different but style of cars the same I mean Suzuki Liana - little expensive car that's why peoples buy lada litle cost.

  • @smolVAD Although I doubt Russian engineers would just make a "clone;" they tend to improve designs these days. Russia still makes the best tanks and jet fighters, even if they can't turn them out at the same rate as America

  • @Mechknight73 Yes but his car still cheap and easy to maintain, requiring no special equipment. LOL you can fix all car by one screewdriver.

  • ye so????niva have the skils;)

  • ...Yeh but I still prefer my Prius (but I wonder how far it would go off-road?!!?!?!) ;-))

  • let me test it!

  • well, last week-end was my outing with 6 other JEEPs (2 Cherookes) and everyone got stuck exept the good 'ol niva! I don't wanna ''spam'' but check out my clip on google video for proofs.......

  • i'm not surprised to hear that....

  • No comparason between Lada Niva and Cherokee. They have too different prices, sizes, etc.

  • I owned Niva, UAZ, 4 Runner and Jeeps... THe Best Offroad car ever built i Jeep!

  • not quite. they have power, built in ability, agility, but lack the reliability of toyota and nissan. if i would have to cross africa from N to S i would go for a landcruiser or patrol or even G Klasse but not jeep. jeep is more fun thow :)

  • History isn't enough.American cars (with the except of HMMWV) are all shit.

  • History isn't enough.American cars (with the except of HMMWV) are all shit.

  • come on... jeep have history, have power, have engine and so long. dont'n joke body

  • And of course Lada has none, yes? (think again)

  • So, who wins, lada or the jeep,

    ray
