this kata is for brown belt from kangku shu / kangku dai and basai shu / basai dai then chinto kata when you are plain black belt...my boyfriend told me that he have had this kata when he was just in green belt.now he is 1st degree black belt but advance in kata and applications until unsu (8th degree black belt).i love to learn this too.i'am green belt now...i know pinan kata and naihanchin.

This Kata is fantastic very beutiful and elegent i am 12 and have a purple/white belt (two belts from black :D) i know this kata off by heart and have preformed it in front of a class full of black belts who didnt know it everybody who says that if you are young you are not ready to have a black belt are wrong. i understand what it is to have disaplin and respect i find it really offending when people say that people who are young are not ready for a black belt

This is the kata my sensei is working on.... its so awesome. And he does it every bit as well as this guy. Can't wait till I get to that level... Kata is my favorite part of karate. I don't even care about progressing belts...I just know that every new belt is a new kata or two haha.

@elguille0505 no 12 year old should be a black belt. period. I am 15 have been training for 11 years and I am not nor do I think i am ready. Karate is not about pure athleticism and good technique and seeing a 12 year old with a black belt saddens me.

I couldn't agree more I began training when I was 8 I wasn't allowed to receive a junior black belt until I was 16 (that was debated) and a real black belt when I was 17, it's a maturity issue. The fact that you understand and aren't angry or resentful for having to wait is great! I'm 20 now and realize the wait was worth it, every aspect of you as a martial artist and a person should be matured before the rank is awarded. A rank without all of that is a piece of black fabric.
