I am with Power Brake Service, we do performance brake upgrades and we need to get ahold of any of the Typhoon, Syclone, turbo GM trucks of that era to do a video of. Turbos rob vacuum from the brake booster and we retrofit hydraulic brakes to solve that. This is hillarious ..... a wing won't help much from a stand still. If I was him I would try some different tires or rubber compounds, the key to having a good time in drag racing is getting a good holeshot. He could possibly even try a selectable transfer-case, so he could at least heat the rear tires before launch. A really soft suspension would help-out alot too.
@clarkkent163000 a "wing" is not meant to help much from a stand still. thing is though as the vehicle goes down the track, its no longer standing still lol. at 168mph it generates a good deal of downforce. free traction and stability. wings have NOTHING to do with the launch mate ;)

Hoovers sold their Syclone 5 years ago & there was nothing special about it but the motor & HRE's.
This truck is all done coil overs & 4 link, Wilwood brakes, way better motor & 4l80e & resent full frame off restoration.
Unless you are talking about 50cent or Dr.Dre I don't know to many black folks willing to spend $200.000 on Syclone.
PS. I know both James & Matt personally & if their Truck was running MPH like Rubben's they would run a wing on it if needed.
