Who cares about your bench, dude? If you would have been posting your SQUAT 1RM the entire time, I guarantee it would have increased your bench 1RM. SOme people bench more with their Triceps, other Pecs, others Delts/Lats. It's not a true test of strength. Squats, C & J, and Snatch are. Do those lifts for a year and you'll be in beast mode!

If you have an ectomorph type body, it would be near impossible, but these guys I knew were mesomorphs. No steroids, just training 2-3 hours day, taking in 5000 calories a day. And conversely, I've dropped 1.5 to 2 pounds a week for about 6 weeks, before leveling out to 1 pound a week with a meso-type body. The info is out there, do some research. Starting gaining dude!!

@varun009 I'm not sure what your doing, but that is incredibly weak to be 165lbs and only able to lift 50lbs. I am 5'9" weigh 152lbs and I can bench press 185, do over 20 chin ups, and leg press 350lbs.

@varun009 I'm about 5' 11", 160lbs and my max bench is about 190lbs. My leg lift is about 575lbs. I usually do bench reps at 90lbs. This guy looks to me like he started at about 140-150lbs. especially if he's over 6' tall, but lifting more than you weigh is definitely not impossible (and 85 is kinda pathetic).

Haha i remember when i was 17, 170, and 5'7 i was benching 240lbs and leg pressing 1000. Everyone in my advanced physical training class at trinity would point and laugh and my coach wouldnt let you back in.

@varun009 I'm not sure what your doing, but that is incredibly weak to be 165lbs and only able to lift 50lbs. I am 5'9" weigh 152lbs and I can bench press 185, do over 20 chin ups, and leg press 350lbs.

@varun009 I'm about 5' 11", 160lbs and my max bench is about 190lbs. My leg lift is about 575lbs. I usually do bench reps at 90lbs. This guy looks to me like he started at about 140-150lbs. especially if he's over 6' tall, but lifting more than you weigh is definitely not impossible (and 85 is kinda pathetic).

@bsheehan1225 holy shit dude! you must have massive legs!!! im skinny but not a hard hard gainer. and as i mentioned earlier i only recently started working out. my bench is up 10lbs but my squat has remained at 250lbs for 2 weeks now. im going to the gym tomorrow and ill see if i can increase it to 270lbs.
