I just figured out if you have a ReadyNAS Remote firmware like 1.0.9.78 and the remote ip for example 192.168.2.102/REMOTE and has p2p firmware 1.9.9-43 the y might not be able to communicate with one another? Maybe this can be verified by the video poster?
This is a bad tutorial because it doesn't go through the admin settings on the ReadyNAS duo admin interface for configuring the settings needed on the storage device. Where is the rest of the tutorial. For some reason cannot get it working on the ipad?
This app is great! Instead of paying for extra dropbox and idrive storage I can up and download to my NAS!
@harrowrudeboy - download the remote desktop app using the link in the your NAS services menu, register during the install then use that username and password in this IOS app and your up n running
@MrTMontana thanks for the advice but i can log in fine to remote and it works great on my pc. on the iphone, it finds my nas and then doesnt connect to it, ever.
@harrowrudeboy You should email Netgear or post the question in their forums see if anyone else has the same problem. Works great for me so no idea why it doesn't for you.
How about a tutorial on how to get the app to connect to the readynas in the first place! I have had the app since november 2010 and it still doesn't work despite following the instructions to a tee!
