The song was written by Jimmy Webb ... 1982...one of many wonderful Jimmy Webb masterpieces.

This is my favorite Amy Grant song. Shawn Colvin has a great version of it on her CD Cover Girl.

I watch this at least a couple times a week, because I love the song and I'm too cheap to buy the CD. The pictures depress me a bit because my family is very negative and not nearly as family-like as this one. The dog resembles my own a bit. Not exactly. Mine is smaller. The younger lady is pretty, especially in picture of her dressed up by the lake. This is one of my favorite things on youtube
