@trackattik I'm about to Download some of your kits now. They are plugins right? I will be about to play each on my keyboard as an individual MIDI file or are they Audio files?
yo ghost what are your thoughts on switching from logic to fruity loops, i learned alot in logic and im pretty good, but i see people producing some insane shit in fl studios, which do you think is a more powerful program overall, and advantages of each.
@alexkamrock Its about what works for you. Both programs are dope. I use a mac so I stick to logic. When I had a PC I used FL Studio. Look at Johnny Juliano...hes killin it wit FL. Logic has audio units and FL has vst. I think there is a shit load more of vsts but you only need a few really good ones. I like mixing in Logic. Never really liked mixing in FL. I love the fruity slicer in FL so thats a PLUS. I haven't used FL for awhile so I dont know what new features they have. Its LOGIC 4 me.
@trackattik word you got some nice advice man i subscribed for sure. those are some insane drum kits man, do you know which ones have orchestral stabs because i have none of those. oh yea and audio units do you know any sites that have free audio units? i downloaded one before and it just didnt work for me i dont know if installed it wrong or something.

yes i do. I have drum kits but they are the ones that came pre-programmed such as Ghost Town kit, Classic Hip Hop Kit etc.... but i was just wondering how u customized them. You went to kits but then i don't have that coming up on my screen.
@LulaDey1984 when you say programmed are you saying that they are exs files? If nothing comes up then you have to move those exs files to USERNAME/LIBRARY/APPLICATION SUPPORT/LOGIC/SAMPLER INSTRUMENTS

Whaddup Ghost?!!! Glad to see you back again...Great that you are expanding into Logic too. I need some help with vocal recording set-up and other aspects of recording vocals in Logic. BTW I found the Modern Beats e-book too. Will be reading it soon.

@4lifeent215 Let me see if I can find a book on vocal recording in Logic. Were you looking for mixing techniques like EQ and Compression or actual set up techniques like where to place the mic and things like that?
@trackattik Thanks! Appreciate the tutorials. All of your tuts prior to your break and now have helped me improve a great deal as an aspiring producer. Yeah I was referring to the set phase of vocal recording. Like setting the mic up via preamp and getting a good meter reading (levels). When I set up I'm getting very love meter responses from my mic. Here's what I'm working with:

@alexkamrock Logic has a better workflow to me. Use both of them and see which one works for you. TRY before you buy.
