I never knew that Bill Bridges ever played for the Lakers-or most likely, I just forgot after all these years. He spent most of his career with the Hawks and was one of the strongest forwards of his time, a real bull, usually amongst the league leaders in rebounds. I was lucky enough to see the Lakers win their 6th[?] of 33 straight in 71-72 against the Knicks at the Garden. Wilt or Hairston would grab a board & West & Goodrich took off running downcourt. Great team.
