Claws are powerful but, from a leopard it would leave a hyena with some moderate cuts and flesh wounds, whilst one proper bite from a hyena would possibly leave a leopard with a broken leg/foot, and leave it vulnerable. At 1:30 the hyena makes direct eye contact with the leopard. That's often bad manners to animals and gets a warning slap, but I don't think that's why it left.
That slap while is stinging but I don't think it's the reason for the hyena to leave. It looks nervous all the time, probably worries about lions coming soon. That casual slap by the leopard would peel a human face off

@majkongg Dude, I have nothing against hyena's and love all animals (Tiger's are my favourite animals but I love big cats and ALL animals). However, I must say this. You're crazy. Most times leopards can't risk injury and hyena's come in numbers. One on one, if a leopard stands its ground (like you see in this video) then a hyena has pretty much no chance. A leopard is not only more skilled at killing, it also is faster and has razor sharp claws. It would kill a hyena often if they fought.

Hyenas are a formidable foe and B) if the leopard is injured by the hyena's destructive biting power, his ability to hunt is severely compromised. He'll starve. Better let the "fucking ugly hyena" get a few bites in, and be grateful.
