the technique is essentially tambour or "Broderie Luneville" but she is doing it in upside down! In France the hook would be on the surface and the sequins under the frame.
esta técnica es hermosa. yo estudie en Paris esta bella técnica. y si es cierto se utiliza solo en alta costura, soy diseñador y yo la aplico para los vestidos de novia. muchos saludos
She makes it look so easy. It took me a few minutes to understand what she was doing. but it makes sense that the hand underneath the fabric must have a small, fine needle like a sewing needle/crochet hoot to pull the thread above that has the sequins attached and she is dropping individually as she pushes the hook up through the fabric to secure the sequins to the fabric. The thread is so fine it is hard to see her working it through the fabric. Beautiful! Tedious!
Everyone, she is using a technique called Tambour beading. It is done by using a hook similar to a crochet hook, only different in size and other features. It's very hard to learn how to do this technique as it is mainly used in Paris for the Haute Couture trade.
@mariahfan999 Thank you dear friend for your post.I saw this video several times and i didn't understand how she make these wonderful flowers. For sure it's very difficult to do that and i think it's a demonstration video for buying products from her site.I wish to her good work and good luck with her art!
how you actually pull the string and needle from the opposite way? I'm kinda wondering and hope I can practice my own craft like this. Can anyone help me?
too bad there's no sound. the instruction would be most helpful
