The original chatter from "If I Were a Bell" (October 26, 1956) is a bit different ("I'll play it and tell you what it is later"). But it's obviously based on that chatter.
Miles's voice is one of his most distinctive features :-) You can hear Miles on some recordings (e.g. You're Under Arrest) and in concert (when he would introduce or address address his musicians through the Mike of this trumpet, usually with just a few words).
there's a terrific bit of miles speaking at the end of Circle on 'Miles Smiles' - just after he finishes his last solo, the music has barely stopped before he says [i think to Teo Macero, who was producer on that record] 'see how that sounds Teo'. For a while after I first heard it, i thought he'd said 'see how that sounds to you...' - as if to say he knew just how good those last lingering notes were.
WTF? Miles, you can jam, Man. But this shit?

Never realized that scooters could be so "edgy". I remember that these commercials came on during Radio 1990.

This video is actually the first time I've heard Miles' voice and I've been listening to his music for years. Weird.
