They fixed it in 2nd gen onwards (90% accuracy). If it had that, then I'd definitely go for Golem as in terms of Stadium 1 rentals, Sandslash and Golem are nearly identical in moveset and sort of close in stats.
Golem's and Sandslash's stats were about the same in most departments (Golem might've been a bit tougher). But strength doesn't always win wars, it's the moves.
What really made Golem suck was Rock Throw. Sure it gets STAB and beats Sandslash using Rock Slide, but with 55% accuracy? No... just, no. I hated using 70% accurate moves... 55% is just a deal-breaker.
OH, yeah! Those were the songs I was talking about. 1-3 and the Final battle (or semi-final if you're doing the Master Ball). That final song is just epic, and 1-3 are just plain awesome!
Haha, sily AIs and their inability to use tactical moves sometimes. Mewtwo really did make Prime Cup easiest of them all, even almost in Pokemon Stadium 2.
