pc's are for people that know how to work a computers and upgrade them . Macs are for people that have little knowledge of them and pay almost triple amount for upgrades.I have a pc and i NEVER HAD ANY PROBLEMS . And once a year i upgrade for newer and CHEAPER PARTS. As for macs most the time u need to buy a whole new computer.

Wrong. Mine is 5+ years old, off the shelf. Recently made a ram upgrade, and of course, as you should always do, I took off the OEM install of Windows, and put on my own. (A ram card was fried, my father's fault probably, or a power surge.) Aside from that the PC runs like new. I plan to upgrade, or replace it eventually, though.

The RAM was destroyed Via user's fault. My father hit the on/off button multiple times, not realizing the monitor was off. Either it was because of that, or a power surge sometime later. A Mac's hardware would fail under that situation as well. (I'm pretty sure it was Surge related. The surge protector was dead.) And I do plan to upgrade, only because my computer is getting far too old for modern gaming.

Most OEM installed OSs suck. Mac is an exception.

@Blivia My answer to that is to get a UPS. And. . . user error. It was all user error. Which just proves the point that most Macintosh problems are user error. Those "situation[s]" as you called it were caused by user error. Any computer is susceptible to it.

I never invalidated my own point. Everything in this PC is 5+ years old, and running as it SHOULD be. As said, RAM is the exception. Anymore bashing to try and prove my specific point wrong?

You see, between all the programs you need to buy to have a fully functional, safe windows computer, you spend just as much as any mac user, if not more, and as you said, constantly upgrading for 'better' parts. You upgrade every year, I've had my laptop for 8 years without any upgrade and it works just fine. One investment, 8 years, happy customer. Your situation? Several components bought, constant need for updating, averages around the same price.
