  • I'm fucking buying this album

  • Check "Underground" by Rosetta West on Youtube. Pretty much nothing like this...but I fucking LOVED this song when it came out...and I suppose it had an influence on what I created later. PEACE.

  • Bad Brains are some bad mutha fukkin shit. Favorite punk band. Brothers are throwin down!! ----

  • incredible for 1989

  • Heavy as hell! (and a sick riff)

  • Best fuckin Punk band ever to exist

  • Still un-effing real. One of the heaviest songs ever that will never make one of those top 10, 20, 50, whatever lists.

  • Whenever I'm sad, I just put this song on and all of a sudden life feels perfect!

  • I wonder how H.R. would sound in Skindred.

  • Lil wayne got nothing on these guys cuz he dont know he they are and he wasnt born when they came out

  • เจ๋ง ว่ะ แสด

  • NICE !!!

Thanks for the old school Bad Brains !

  • Just truly righteous.

  • THis is sick!!!

    remind me of Skindred

  • Get Machine Head out of the fucking suggestions bar

  • metal?......this is pure hardcore bitch.....fuck metal

  • king

  • BAd Brains is the root of all aggressive music, whatever label you put on it. They took punk to anew level when the Pay To Cum/Stay Close to Me single came out. Could you imagine if they went the "Stay Close To Me" route instead???????

The world would be an even sadder place.

Thank you Bad Brains for casting the first stone and lead on the revolution!!

  • One of the bands/acts that could empower black artists in a truly positive way but the mainstream refuse to accept them or know nothing about them. Great artists.

  • One of my favorite songs

  • Speaking of childhood soundtracks....who can forget the very bad ass and ahead of their time "BAD BRAINS"!!!!

  • They were true pioneers. Hardcore masters that paved the way for bands like rage against and douchbag greenday.

  • riff is awesome:)

  • Can't be touched!

  • I saw them a few times in the late 80's and early 90's. The first time I was a revelation. The audience was mostly white and when the band began it was if they all gave themselves over to HR. I mean they totally surrendered to the music and the band in a way I have never seen an audience do before. If HR had told those kids to pack their shit and leave in the middle of the show I believe they would have done so without and resistance.

  • im gonna get fucked UP with this band...beastttttttttttttttt! <3

  • Bad Brains were pretty excellent when I saw them in the early '90's in Chicago's Vic Theatre. It was about as sweaty as possible in front of the stage during that summer show.

  • man that chorus sounds like Rocket Skates by Deftones. Both sweet bands :)

  • The style of this song kinda reminds me of something by rage against. any one else see it to?

  • Amazing Riff!

  • Thank you.

  • Ya ever wonder were Chino from Deftones picked up his stage presence and vocal style.....sound and look familier?

  • why can't these guys just go ON to take over the world?

  • Another of my earliest influences!!!

  • I gotta agree with everybody's posts thus far. BB is still sick as hell. I saw them live with the Beastie Boys back in '94 and although HR doesn't have the same onstage energy he had back in the day, they still rock sh*t!! There wasn't a body in the place that wasn't in motion when they were playing.

  • yeahhhhh!!!

  • Oh H. R. say that shit!

  • @bentnosewp fuck u

  • how crrrrrrushing is this riff???

  • THESE GUYS ARE GOD I SAW THEM AT THE WET LANDS YEARS AGO BY FAR THE BEST

  • hardcore pioneers one of the greatest bands ever

  • Brain Me Baby

  • la mia vera passione...........

  • cant wait tonight to see them on EXIT :)

  • Hahahahaha 10,000,000,000 times better than Lil wayne!

  • As soon as that solo hits, I get up and destroy everything within a 10 yard range

  • YEAH, left richmond va with the quickness. gwar too. crazy world. thanks.

  • fuck to tha yaaaa mon

  • they still play on occasion... i hope to see them again!

  • I saw these guys in the 80's at I think Ruthies Inn. From the moment the singer throws his fists out and started to rant the whole house was on fire! The power from this band is non stop even when they slow way down to do a reggae tune.

  • Epic.

  • This is awesome. The drum roll at the start and the riff are of the highest order!!!

  • seen that live. the heaviest musical experience of all my life. and that beats all slayer, cavaleras etc.

  • My favorite song shaping the real HC genre! ratm go to bed.

influenced band like refused and other bands in that type of punk hc music.

  • fuk LustForHate, wouldn't know good music even if it was shoved in his or her brain, bad brains is one of the best punk band's in the world, dont even trip.

  • one of my favorite Brains tunes....they can't be touched.

  • Clean out your ears.

  • creation=kilar orawa

    check it out!

  • We love u H.R. -michigan

  • that's hodcouh.

  • my sh*t!!

  • crushing riff...

  • Bad Brains kick ass. They've been together for about 30 years and all of their songs are awesome.

  • Heaviest most kick ass song ever.

  • all those who think that it was down hill with bb with and after i agianst i is out of there minds.this is one of the sickest songs ever.after 20 years it still sends shivers......

  • H.R.'s MY UNCLE..YOU CAN'T TELL THE RESEMBLANCE???

  • i've heard this song live and it is no doubt THE heaviest song one can hear. and i'm comparing this to all the cavalera stuff, slayer and so on...

  • thats how its done

  • Here's how it goes .... I'll sing the riff.....

    Got it ?

    Let's go !

One of the toughest songs ever captured .

  • I'm into this kind of shit for 15 years now. How the hell did I miss THIS? This is so FUCKING GREAT! That's the benefit of living in Serbia, I guess. I'm out of words.

  • Greatest band of all time my friend!

  • same in cze

  • As a lifelong D.C. native, having grown up watching the likes of Bad Brains, Minor Threat, Fugazi, government issue, The Faith, SOA and Rollins Band to name a few, I still believe to this day that above all others Bad Brains had the most intensity, stage presence and sheer ability to whip the crowd into a frenzy. We went into their shows excited and came back out with lightning in our veins. They are the stuff of legends.

  • One of the greatest hardcore bands in history, along with Black Flag and Minor Threat. Bad Brains had more intensity, and raw energy and emotion, than most modern bands could ever dream of having. The 80's hardcore scene has yet to be matched in terms of rebellious angst against society's restraints, and possibly never will be.

  • I wish I was old enough to see them back in the early 80's. These dudes are the stuff legends are made of.

  • BIG IT UP. no one familiar with the hardcore scene can deny bad brains tremendous influence and god hood status. One of the most revered and incomparable bands in history, if you looking for glam, emo, conventional metal posturing then keep on looking..this here is that REAL shit. a spiritual sonic journey that takes no prisoners. now turn it up youngstas and learn.

  • Well put m'man. H.R. best lead singer ever period, back in those days Bad Brains was coming through like a 50 ft lion.

  • We need a Slayer fan to clean this religious mess...

  • fuck off with your greasey hair u fool

  • hell awaits kid, hell awaits...

  • Wow so if i listen to slayer i go to heaven, if there is a place

  • "Slayer fans go to heaven". Nice quote.

  • LIFE AND CREATION

  • Rofl I have seen it all now! This song really rocks man

  • this is the shit

  • hahaa this band is awesome

  • lil wayne aint got nothing on these guys.

  • @Thoreos

    ack ack ack!

  • @Thoreos

    Haha right on bro!!

  • Living Color should say thank you.... heh

  • This is straight up metal. I dont know any other band that can play hardcore, reggae, and metal and kick as at all of it. Bad Brains would still be ahead of their time if they came out today

  • fear nuttin band combines hardcore yard music explainng the name of their album yardcore but yea im sure they look up to bad brains

  • you should listen to Skindred, those guys kick some serious ass!

  • skindred is good but sometimes sounds gay

  • @NotAsOtherz check out skindred.... they kick ass too!!!

  • @NotAsOtherz . Yeah this is great, sounds Living colour and Sepultura.

  • @WillyTheHurricane - Huh? Sounds nothing like Sepultura and these guys heavily influenced Living Color.....Bad Brains were playing at least 12 years before Living Color even made a record. So I think Living Color sounded like Bad Brains....or tried to anyway. Nobody sounds like these mofo's....and never will

  • @NotAsOtherz Agreed! The only band I can think of that compares, if just a little, is Skindred.

  • @NotAsOtherz - Bad Brains really didn't like musical labels.....they were what they were. Punk, reggae, metal....whatever. They've been all things at different times, they pretty much do what they want and always have. They're a genre all to themselves

  • @NotAsOtherz Bad Brains is from a timeless galaxy- they transcend time, eternal!

  • @NotAsOtherz meh, they do play shows and did just come out with an album. the music is still great but HR(singer) just is fucked up or something cause its not the same, more like weird whispering..

  • @MrZarrx86 Well, dude their old now. Try belting out hard vocals when your pushing fifty.

  • @NotAsOtherz Check out Skindred!

  • They grind th' SHIT out of that groove!

  • Crazy black dudes. Sweet.

  • JAH BLESS!!!

  • in the 80's, i was always into reggae and metal. And then one night night on Headbangers Ball I saw this video. It all came together for me. YEOW!!!

  • i realy think the bassist of bad brains dosnt get enough credit he is actuley quite good

  • Try 20 plus years

  • Actually 10 years sounds better. Unless Bad Brains debuted in the 1960's then 20 years is correct. Anyway, this song is great! It was the very first song I heard of them. Been a fan since.

  • I saw the Bad Brains in Detroit 23 years ago touring for the record "I against I"

  • It's 20 plus years. Look at the biography.

  • Yeah, except the Bad Brains were around for 10 yrs prior. Dumbass!

  • Hey look, it's the deftones!

  • HR the lead singer actualy crashed with them for awile i believe.

  • they were lookin' strong in this vid!

  • just when i think i'm sick of Bad Brains i hear just the right song and i am instantly reminded i'm so fuckin' wrong to think that! HR =best lead singer ever.

  • this song rocks.

  • hardest rocking song ever.

  • 0:18 oh my fuck.

  • Intense!? Yes it certainly is. Fucking intense.

Love it. Makes me feel full of life and powerful!!!

    YEAH soul craft!

  • There's no Bad Brains without HR on vocals. Therefore, I do not consider this period Bad Brains.

  • Uh......this is HR.

You just blew your "cred," fool!

  • I did! I need to stay off of the internet when I drink.

  • Those dreds are so badass

  • the greatest rock riff ever.

  • THEY ARE AMAZING.

  • Libra Son- Now that you all got your religon on what type of action will you take from here youth? Will we finally learn to take ACTION,or will we continue to talk loud and do nothing! These are exciting times we are in and now is time to put up or shut the fuck up! A change is coming y'all believe that.

  • Where are These Warriors?

  • The most intense song 4 ever!!!! Saw them after Maverick put them on stage at Janus Landing!!! The vibest!!!!

  • Being religious will never be cool with the truly cool people. But great music is just that.

  • Fucken bedroom nazi (ha..)?Theres no fucken "punk nazi's", punks hate nazi's, you dumb fag, Bowie ? Listen to dead Kennedy's, "nazi punks fuck off" .Take a hint, dude ?

  • look in the action. jah jah is the attraction. life is all or nothing. don't forget to seek and pray. thats the best line in the song.

  • toto je proste jeden masaker....JUST MASSACRE...like it

  • Gods and Devils don't exist, but if I was forced to identify God, I think this video proves that The Bad Brains are God.

  • Guys youre off your cake. Are you not hearing this song? Discuss religion elsewhere.

  • how about it- GREAT SONG !!!

  • Carnal mind is the spiritual imbalance, where too much focus is on the physical, the sensual. Remember that 'sensual' is dealing with the physical senses - flesh. We have to sight the thought/Mind of God, who has no beginning nor end, hence, permanent, is who He is.

  • there is no god.....lemmy is close

  • Just saw them in Anaheim, CA a couple of days ago. They did a WHOLE LOT of material from the Roir album and from Rock For Light. Stuff they haven't performed live in YEARS.

HR was pretty sedate but they sounded UNBELIEVABLY good.

By the way, the new album is incredible. Sounds like they did in the early 80s. Go get that CD immediately.

  • that is HR you retards, and i against i is slightly better than quickness overall imo. but rock for light is also one kickass LP..

  • well that is Dr Know , not his guitar...I love all their albulms even those with different singer (note he's singing is quite similar to HR'S) Is HR returning in new album ? I haven't been into their story lately. I guess "Quickness" is their best and most diverse album. Who agreees?

  • Hey anyone gonna buy there new cd?

  • uh ME

  • This is real punk! LEGENDS

  • Fucking AMAZING.

  • Look up to these guys soo much. Even though I am not very religious, they are worthy. They definitely kick ass.

  • fly the soul craft

    BAD BRAINS! fuck yeah

  • damn HR movments is so cool, when he preform. this is what a true entertainer is about.

  • Sorry, don't drknow. But ever hear him play with Nitzer Ebb on Big Hit's "Kick It"? Check it out, pc, GB.

  • what kind of guitar is dr. know using? anyone know?

  • a Jackson dude!!

  • OOOOHHHHHH JEAHEAAAAAA!

    Smokin!

Leave the religious shit out. This kicked ass.

  • trex100, say that to the countless satanic metal bands out there today

  • Great song, Bad Brains !!!

  • The Bad Brains got there message accross, God Willing people with there Jeehad as people who struggled against conditions against them and proved that there works are fruitfull, till this day no one has matched HR, looking at these videos feels like they will allways be the best at electrifying Gods message.

  • Bad Brains is one of my favorite bands. I wish they would realize that Haile Selassie worshiped Jesus Christ as his God and Savior and that the Bad Brains should do the same.

Many don't know this but Bob Marley was baptized as a Christian before his death. Jesus Christ is true God.

  • Baptistfundi, Adam who had no mortal father or mother, Abraham the founder of One God and the children of Israel, Jesus, Mohamed, Haile Selassie,HR, all worship the same God of Abraham, which God is it that your refering to who is not the God of Jesus?

  • You misunderstood. Haile Selassie was a Christian. Haile Selassie worshipped Jesus Christ as God. Haile Selassie himself told Rastafarians not to worship him, but to worship Jesus the Christ. Bob Marley eventually understood this and renounced worship of Haile Selassie and placed his faith in Jesus Christ.

  • no i think you missunderstood, jesus was known ad the christ aka masiah, the one who will free the children of israel from the romans at that time, doing Gods works, a apastole is what it literaly means, but specially chosen. NOT GOD

  • God is a Spirit.(St John 4:23-24) To whom the WORD(God/Spirit) come to, is god. (St John 10:33-35). God is the Life. The Way from in the beginning of Creation. Jesus, himself, referred to God as 'my God'. (St John 20:17, St Matthew 27:46)

  • Hey guys, Jesus never told people he created them or that people said this, the gospals are all what people said they witnessed or even said before no witnesses, yes he was not the creator and yes we all die and meet the creator on the last day and Jesus will tell us who gave him life too again and the liars will perish.

  • The New Testament is clear. Jesus is the Creator.

John 1:3 l things were created through Him, and apart from Him not one thing was created that has been created.

John 1:10 He was in the world, and the world was created through Him, yet the world did not recognize Him.
