I totally agree with you. Even though I've figured out the cheat on Port Town with the Blue Falcon, I quit the time trial just before I reach the finish line, because I don't want a cheap time as the best record. I play the full course because I love Port Town's design, and I think it's the best song in the game, so I want to hear it for LONGER! LOL
I dont understand how you say the DS version of Diddy Kong Racing was trash....it's pretty much the same exact thing as the N64, but they added a couple things and took away very little.

Yeah, I agree with you Chocowulf. Too much realism, not enough fun. Where the hell are my damn green shells and lightning bolts? I can't hit a Mustang or a Ferrari with a Blue Shell. It just don't work!
Oh hell yeah. Believe me, in Mario Kart Wii, I took three blue shells one after the other in a span of like 5 seconds. I was most irritated and obviously went to dead last.
I said the next walkthrough would probably be one that has ninjas involved. This is just something I can do in the meantime. Plus I can't really see doing a walkthrough of a racing game.

The touch screen stuff was pointless and detracting. Also the control didn't feel right without a control stick.

I don't find realistic racing games to be fun either. If I ever play a racing game its either Excitebike or one of the mario karts.

Don't get me started on blue shells. I'll just say this about recent Mario Karts. The items are currently horrendously unbalanced.
