  • Haha i remember playing this game at Chuck E cheese when I was 6. I hated this game because my tiny hands would get pinched on those trackballs and it hurt so much! >.<

  • Is that where they got the graphic design in Rollercoaster Tycoon 1&2 from?

  • I first played this on an arcade machine at Manchester Airport in what must have been about 1984 or 5. I was very young but the experience stuck with me - I was too young to appreciate the gameplay but kept playing for the rich atmosphere, especially of the music on level 2. It was a long, long way ahead of its time.

  • Ahh, I had this confused with Crystal Castle...

  • Problem is with this game, it would take you 35 sec just to get off the opening platform. It had no mercy

  • wow arcade version added more black balls to raise difficulty

  • Trackball controls...difficult indeed, but you played on Easy. On Expert, you'd only have 30 seconds to beat Practice Race.

  • If you're wondering, yeah, mercury comes from here :)

  • insane soundtrack

  • An autistotard's nightmare.

  • am I the only one thinking this is the coolest NES Soundtrack ever? Mega Man 2 being very close

  • God, this game was hard as hell! But, way ahead of it's time.

  • hated this fucking game.

  • I cant believe i watched that fail

  • I got'chor marbles right here biotch

  • I could never beat this game on mame.

  • Intermediate race has the best music. Kind of choppy in this vid though.

  • EVERYTHING YOU KNOW IS WRONG!

  • @wario356 Black is white, up is down, and short is long.

  • @HardWiredGaming and everything you thought was so important doesnt matter

  • @HardWiredGaming

And the politicians actually care about you.

  • This game would have been a lot easier with a joystick. That stupid rollerball on the arcade game made it next to impossible to control.

  • Get control of the marble.

I could never find the secret level.

  • i used to play this arcade back in the day. it wasn't too common to find

  • wow

  • what an aggravating game this was, its gettin on my nerves just watching you play it

  • @hobiehippo I totally agree. This game was so frustrating trying to control that damned marble.

  • Man... I used to love the music on this but its painful to listen to the later sections... those FM chips I suppose!

  • Wow I remember playing this at Six Flags, ages ago. The arcade had a ball-interface to roll the ball. That was awesome back in those days. 100/100

  • this is like ancient hamsterball.

  • @Evatar7 guess what hamsterball is based on :)

  • Oh Marble Madness, You're Jammin' Me (TM).

  • This reminds me of a 3D game on PC called HamsterBall. This is very simular.

  • devonjames10: "simular"?

  • Well, you could say a 3D clone...

  • No, this game developed overhead like game such as Sonic the Hedgehog Arcade and Sonic 3D Blast. Plus a few that are in that cloth.

  • that last level was a PAIN when I first got there.

  • When the vacuums appear to get your marble during the Aerial Race, additional ominous riffs show up.

  • I love how some of the music in this game has those jazzy synthesized flourishes. Some other tunes, however, sound rather creepy (esp. the Intermediate Race tune).

  • Tha music was off tha hook!

  • haha!!! ;) i used to love this game!!! music kinda reminds me of PeeWee's Playhouse. lol!!!

  • what a game.and..sound!!

  • game still gives me fits.

  • Poor marble, when it falls off, it almost sounds like a human.

  • This takes me back.

    GOOOOD times.
