  • imagine... i'll be 43 in a couple of months and i remember this song from when i was 16 like it was yesterday.

  • im 41 i actually grew up listening to this guys..my older bothers and sister thats all they would play in their room. my sister was a punk rocker in new york city in the late 70s .. when i began middle school i was a gothic/punk-rocker my friends and i were the 1st ones ever to adopt the style that was early 80s ...mid 80s to 90s i got into more indie rock...stereo lab lots of the smiths/morrissey/siouxie/love and rockets... new stuff SUCKS

  • only 2 type of people in the world 1st people who like DK and 2nd failures at life.

  • Shits dope

  • Foda PRA KCET!!!!!!!

  • One of the few punk bands that I find nice...

  • me and my best bud did a 360 and almost went off a clif in his parents volvo listenening to this back in the day. ya we were drunk,

  • I saw Jello & DK back in ´81 in Tampere Hepokatti. It was a lot better than the stuff that Downtown by NokiaRahaKeräysEksytys could offer to the lost souls of that damned city Tammerfors. Rattus and Kohu-63 played there also, if I remember right (I was 13,75 years old then). Great show though!

  • question if a couple of people wan to throw a hardcore punk show and there its moshing and all that will the crowd try to assault the band members or just go on stage and jump off. what Iam asking is how dangerous will it be for the band members?

  • I'll be 32 next month and it's fucked up how I remember this song from so long ago,... But now? All I think is guitar hero... Fuck.

  • @smashedism Just like me smashedism, expect that I'm born in '69 nd I will turn 43 very soon !

  • @smashedism And who can forget the sanitized version of "Police Truck."

  • @smashedism Amen brotha.

  • Hey I'm a 15 year old guitarist/singer songwriter in junction city Kansas looking for a bassist and drummer

  • @liquidsk8ter Thats what local newspapers are for.

  • punks not head has no one heard cerebral ballzy yet?

  • @griffin456456456 no, mainly since punk's not head anyway, nor is it dead

  • @griffin456456456 Cerebral Ballzy is really fucking bad... I mean, it's like their version of rebellion is being assholes and getting wasted all the time. And besides, there's Kid Dynamite, Murder City Devils, Growingman, The Antialls, Paint it Black, and countless other punk bands that fucking rock and aren't total fucking morons.

  • @Xxxyzyz5698 you better name more cuz those bands are way pop for me

  • I could no belive is saw the live

  • Mr Biafra, Y U NO MY FATHER?

  • great song

  • underrated drummer

  • This is punk and Jello is a actor some times :D

  • so much energy in those old school concerts, wish it were the same today, the security wont let you do much and because of these bloody phone cameras, everyones just standing still, and the fact that security doesnt allow stagediving sucks even more.

  • fukin bless u for given the world an me the most amasing song ever fuck i love this an always will thanku

  • Punk never die never !!! so Fuck Off

  • The singer likes to act like he has down syndrome on stage i guess

  • i know im get a lot of haters for this.....but punk is dead....at least the idea of punk...punk died the moment it went mainstream.....it died when it was shown on tv......punk dies the moment it gets noticed......

  • @imalittlenuttso2 What's the point of a rebel movement if no-ones there to see it? I'm not hating, I'm just saying.

  • @InAWorldOfLies going mainstream doesn't mean people just "see it." it means it's being co-opted by people who pretend to care about it with other motives in mind, which is usually money. those rebels wearing bread loaf helmets in Egypt were seen, but no fashion designer is gonna start manufacturing bread hats for people to have their very own "authentic" Egyptian rebel look

  • @InAWorldOfLies thing is most rebellions aren't noticed by the majority of the worlds population. We are all too concerned with feeding and clothing us and ours, or we're too comfy in our own little bubbles to care.

  • @TheZenbreeze Yeah your right. No-one noticed the Arab Spring at all.... Oh wait!

  • @imalittlenuttso2 It's punk when you don't really care.. I think :D

  • @jawbless fuck yea man! Thats punk

  • do he even own a t-shirt?

  • jello for president

    lali hoooo

  • Pffff Punk is to be able to tell people in the eyes Fuck you and doing your own thing :And it doesn´t matter what you wear and how you look and definitely not where you come from (or the bands) it is with 40 not less real than with16(so not bound in a certain time) ,it is an attitude and real in your heart and your ears .....;-) of course

  • QUACK.

  • It's punkalicious!

  • @MorkaGraven im a fan of all punk bands, I dont care what contry has the best punk. Punk is punk, if you only listen to punk from england or only punk from america, your limiting yourself on punk music. I love the exploited and the sex pistols, the clash etc. but I also listen to the casualties and the adolescents, black flag. PUNK IS PUNK! WHO GIVES A FUCK!!

  • now with 120% more ketomine!

  • Punks not dead! This is REAL punk! Something you can mosh too and destroy stuff! This generation needs a huge dose of real music! Even though I'm 16

  • @shadowsuitsnipe If it's from America, it's not real punk, England/Great Britain was the home of "real" Punk and that's how it will stay.

  • @MorkaGraven I'm sorry, but since when is punk bound to a certain location? Get over yourself. Both Iggy Pop & The Ramones are very much American.

Punk, if anything these days, is a life style that has little to do with politics.

  • @Tjorvz1 Punk is as localized as it is denoted by era. If you're thinking punk is more "real" within a certain time then I'm thinking it's more "real" within a certain area.

  • For my son tro see what it was really like and what it can be again

  • @casbah1982 not really green day is so pop punk band with no meaning behind there songs and they are way to mainstream

  • @TheDrmohawk I think you meant to reply to the guy that replied to me. Cos I agree, Green Day is pop; Dead Kennedy's are real punk.........|>|<

  • is it live or is it Jello?

  • This is real punk rock kiddies; not Green Day! Brutal, entertaining as fuck, and not so scared to say the word 'niggers': a word not used in a hateful context in this song, and considering their longtime drummer was black.

  • @casbah1982 thanks for clearing that up......

  • @casbah1982 what do you have aganist green day? green day is a excelent band! fuck you!

  • @MarcoRoww lookout, internet tough guy

  • 180 people need to slave for soldiers till they starve and their head is skewered on a stake

  • jello can lick my pussy :)

  • i feel like breaking shit

  • Pol.. Pot.. Pol.. Pot..

  • @SocioSick yeaaaaah pol pot pol pot pol pot pol pot pol pot pol pot , pol pot pl pot pol pot pol pot pol pot pol pot. You totally get it.

  • if jimmy fallon n charlie sheen had a kid............

  • look everybody its jimmy fallon

  • great song

  • Free insanity jello a go go......Fucking hero

  • fudido!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • version of angry Iggy Pop

  • jello is a fucking legend

  • How the fuck do you put up an incomplete song?

  • Your a snod belly sneech you suck like a leech you want everyone to act like you!

  • Love the Kennedys!!!!!

  • today i almost get banned from school cause i said my head teacher FCK YOU when he said that punk is a fashion

  • Kind of a crappy recording, but still ultra cool...

  • @xopowo69 discription of punk

  • the true punk rockers were its all about spiking there hair and leather jackets

  • why when someone displays exceptional talent do people assume they must have help?? if that was the case the world would be flooded with awesome art & music...

Jello rocks! (& ditto above - Jello can replace our prime minister any day, please??)

  • Punk is not dead, It's just on holiday in Cambodia.

  • @tooawesomeforaids Jazz ain't dead, it just smells funny.

  • SO MUCH COCAINE!

  • How is this guy really straight? He's too much of a showman not to be gay. No straight guy could do this.I mean, c'mon.

  • @mondonudes

He is pretty flamboyant but I suspect it's got less to do with camp showmanship and more to do with some confidence boosting powder.

  • @mondonudes get your stupid head off your arse, we dont care about your stupid generiisations, categorising, stereotyping, prejudice, your irrelevant way of making sense of the world. This is punk, above all these, more than music. Fuck off!

  • i dont understand jello is a mime?

  • @Ruben220597 He actually studied acting. A woman in my theatre group had him in her class in the late 70's in S.F.

  • @MrJason138 that's cool xD

  • ehm i am an uk girly

  • free village anarchy: a society of free villages. very similar to a commune or a squat.

  • So, when are you guys going to play in Hyannisport, Massachusetts?

  • Dead Kennedys Forever!!

  • u r special

  • PORQUE NO MANDA LOS ENLACES CON LA FOTO DE LA BANDA?

  • As a matter of fact, the US supported Pol Pot 1975/1979?-1990

  • @dihydrohydroxycodein

Supported the Khmer Rouge from 1979-1991. Thank you American tax payer.

  • @dihydrohydroxycodein Yep. State-terror client state.

  • @dihydrohydroxycodein and idi amin, and used saddam to attack iran which caused 1.5million deaths... and toppled irans democratic government in the 50's, and put the shah into power, in principle caused the pacific war in WW2 by putting an embargo on japan, created the atomic weapon, which will probably make mankind extinct... ect.. ect... on the upside though, without america we wouldn't have hendrix.

  • @crazygeek777

Yes, you are right + 20 other despots and mass murderers, but without the US China or Russia would be torturing other nations. The most powerful states are either/and most aggressive intern/extern.

Still, the whole Cold War was a farce. It was not about Soviet containment. The Soviet Union attacked its sattelites, USA/UK/.. the whole third world.

  • @dihydrohydroxycodein so, the ends justify the means? bullshit...

  • @crazygeek777

Never. It is our mission to expose our state's crimes, especially in the Thrid World. Accusing enemies of human rights abuses is silly, because we support much more brutal regimes even now. But unfortunately DK forgot that we supported the Khmer Rouge. No one even knows this.

I don't want to say I support US/UK/EU atrocities because China's would be more brutal, but if the US vanished in the future, Chinawould have it's fangs on indochina, as long before and everywhere else.

  • I>I<

  • Am I the only teen who still loves punk?

  • @heroesandcons09 nope ;)

  • @heroesandcons09 nope!

  • @heroesandcons09

old school punk or Punk Rock like Bad Religion, NoFX, Anti-Flag, Flatliners, Rise Against, Pennywise Strike Anywhere, Descendents, Black Pacific etc.

Yes, I know some of those bands existed in the 70s but they still play today and sound like modern day Punk bands. There aren't really any bands that still sound like Dead Kennedys today.

  • @AlmostaFlipinSkater or Transplants - they're awesome. or 4 smethin different again, the Clash... Lard should be at the top of your xmas list too. And although they live in a different genre i would give Man is the Bastard & Bastard Noise a good go too :) ps you wouldn't want everything to sound the same would u really? & dont 4get 2 get the message while u enjoy Jello's hot talent!

  • Youthful angst is a renewable energy...fuck yes

  • What kind of drugs is the singer on?

  • @xThexPIGIxKing Whatever your mom had in her purse.

  • @xThexPIGIxKing All of them.

  • Jello for President 2012

  • @gobthebuster

To down man! I'm turning 18 in 2012 so it's all good!

  • Such salvation, a song, and band in general, whose message is "Fuck off overproduced preps!". Amazing performance!

  • yeah, mebbe overreaction to a choon that's important to me, got it tho! lets chill xx

  • lool uk rules

  • my favorite band of all timeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

  • Cambodia is freakin awesome.. is that why they chose to make this song?

  • @llHyRaXll read the lyrics...

  • What year was this?

  • @niggerbaby2590 1984

  • The first "punk" music was reggae.

  • @MPedroful are you deaf? lol

  • @cbilljones he is addressing the ideas punk represents

  • @cbilljones before the Underground American punk scene and the Sex Pistols came to be there were "punks" there just was no such thing as "punk rock" so most punks and skins listened to reggae.

  • hlfracture go fuck yourself. you were in nappys when this song was written and i reckon you still are

  • @respectanation

Why wear happies I'd rather shit on your face

  • *nappies

  • I want to hear a bunch of faggots argue about who started punk rock. Oh wait the other commentators are way ahead of me, thanks fags.

  • @HLFracture and I want to hear this full song! ;) I think that the early punk bands all started around the same time, just in different places.

  • @MrBaphomet616

Ehh.. We have some pretty cool bands, but most of them are very old. I'm talking rock, heavy metal, punk, and such. Sure; we used to have it all, but now, all of the stupid teenage wannabes are taking over.

  • I miss the old DK before Jello sold out and started treating his fans (and his band) like crap. But whatever, DK has given us some great music, I guess I'm just bitter that I never got to see them live.

  • DK

  • if they are american they are auto not proper punk :3

  • @SLiPKnoT19891 waht the bloody hell are you going on about

  • @camufug punk started in england it stays in england and died in england. DEAL WITH IT.

  • @SLiPKnoT19891

    Punk is still alive.

The Offspring, Static X, and such.

..Oh, and punk didn't come from England. Just because you're most likely English doesn't mean for you to try and make it sound better than it is. I'm English, and I think most, if not all, of our music is a load of fucking bullshit.

  • @TheLastJoy wtf is wrong with you the only music we have which is bad is r and b

  • @SLiPKnoT19891 Fuck you,,Misfits and Ramones started punk ! =P

  • @69Curtdog yeah right go smoke a bong hippe

  • 2 and a half. Pretty impressive since your balls haven't dropped and you'd be toddler grease on the boots of Real Punk fans.

  • Are all punk bands as shit as this live?

  • @JamesLawrence1987 That's like asking are you as dumb as all the other dummies that ask general and broad stupid questions. I hope that helps answer your question. Now I've got to take a rest, this chair is killing me.

  • Why cant concerts be like this anymore....

  • Metal heads fuck off. Punk is nothing like metal. In fact, it was created to escape the overindulgence of music, that is 10 minute guitar solos.

  • @DeeDirntDeeDirnt STFU you are so wrong in many ways lol!!!

  • @666deathghost The Ramones made pure music to escape all the crazy guitar solos. They are technically the first punk rock band. They did influence some metal bands. Metallica for example. I can tolerate them. It's just sht like Avenged sevenfold and Slipknot that is shit. The only type of punk that is similar to metal is hardcore punk. Accept punk has a more badass fanbase. Just sayin.

  • @DeeDirntDeeDirnt Shitcock and Avenge seven posers are not metal bandds. They're poser mainstream bands that cliams that they're metal. Add me as a friend and I'll show u real metal 80's Extreme Meal has massive traits of punk

  • Comment removed

  • @666deathghost Context context..

  • @DeeDirntDeeDirnt You don't know much about metal do you. There's a lot of metal that shares similarities with punk. listen to reign in blood by slayer, for instance. I'm a metal guitarist and since I understand song structure I can safely say you're wrong. The guitar sound emulated by Dead Kennedys? Reverb drenched Dick Dale. I.E. surf guitar. The chords and lines this guitarist uses are actually fun sounding. Punk is a message, not an excuse to be a deliberately shit musician like you claim.

  • i am the real 6025

  • great song

  • perfect

  • can anyone link me to the video of nai punks live, where at the start there is someone screaming about burning banks - it was awesome and now i cant find it :\

  • Jello in his prime , time moves so fast its hard to notice

  • cool, you people represemt a special breed of cretins.

  • appreciate the effort, but i needed more musicianship, and still do. I liked how the punk fans wanted to kill you if you didn't like their shitty bands, and apparently that's still the case all these years later lol. System of a Down is like DK, but with ability.

  • @utyiortungheiske System of a down hasn't written anything listenable since... toxicity and even then that album kinda sucked. I'm a metal guitarist and I'll tell you straight up this band is wayyyyyy better and more iconic and will go much further down the history trail regardless of any crap you try to say to spite me. Also system's guitarist can barely play his own songs. They are realllly bad live. I saw them like ten years ago dude. What are you 15 maybe? Yeah that's right fuck off.

  • @anonymouslol you obviously suck and so does any band that puts up with your dumb ass. Actually I'm only two and a half, and I can play better than you with my toddler feet. DK sucks balls technically. It's the energy that made them popular, and you missed that, fuck face.

  • FUCK DUBSTEP WHATEVER THE FUCK THAT IS AND FUCK HIPHOP YOU PEOPLE FUKING KILLED ELMO AND HES GANG

  • @MgaFlash This is very true.

  • Moja młodość, meine Jugend, my youth

  • you're all faggots. fuck your labels and your pretentious cunt-like attitudes.
