So even if the electricity does come from 100% non-reneable sources you still save a heap of energy. Also electric cars are almost maintenance free. Electricity is gradually being taken from more renewable sources every day. Petrol isn't. You need petrol to haul pertrol...you just need wires to haul electricty.
I would love an electric car, i just wished our power stations that provide the electricity was cleaner, good post tho, its true that people don't really think about the dirty process to refine and transport the petrol to the many thousands of petrol station in say the UK.

Clarkson just hate cars that dont have a combustion engine, He loves Astons and Ferrari's, put a G-Wiz next to one of them and you can see why. I kinda like the idea of a G-Wiz, but i hate the way it looks, why cant they make it look like a Mini or a little Lotus? i'd even settle for a electric car that looked like that Smart Forfour or Roadster, I'd even rather drive a Sinclair C5 over this.
The G-Wiz is just simply ugly, it has nothing todo with manhood issues.

That is true, if the source of the electricity to power the car isnt green then the G-Wiz isnt green. Unless the owners of the g-wizzes fit sola panels on their garage roofs lol.
Its just soo bland, i really dont know what the designer got the Inspiration from, i would of thought because its a new concept, the designer would be make it eye catching and stunning, it just looks like Postman Pats Van.

@rudeydudey05 ICEs are only 18% efficient EVs are 80% efficient. Also you don't have to haul petrol to gas stations in truck that, guess what, run on pertrol or deisel.
So even if the electricity does come from 100% non-reneable sources you still save a heap of energy. Also electric cars are almost maintenance free. Electricity is gradually being taken from more renewable sources every day. Petrol isn't. You need petrol to haul pertrol...you just need wires to haul electricty.

I would love an electric car, i just wished our power stations that provide the electricity was cleaner, good post tho, its true that people don't really think about the dirty process to refine and transport the petrol to the many thousands of petrol station in say the UK.

@rudeydudey05 true. Also serviceing on a gas car and the manufacture of a lot more moving parts. Dirty / smelly too. Refinig crude oil for gas uses more energy per mile (about 50x) than using coal to privide electricty to power an EV for a mile.
Sure...its a crappy 'car'. But it does show its a viable concept. The REVA NXG has full 4 seats can go 125miles before needing a recharge and can top 65mph.

@rudeydudey05, the reason why this car is made is because money could be made where safety could be 'reduced'. This 'shitbox' is purely designed to make money. Eco mentalists know that during its production and transportation from India the amount of oil used is horrific but if they say that, Greenpeace would lose revenue. And by the way, the Sinclair C5 is much better.

Dehli 2007 with one of the chief Engineers. A lot of Indian people are extremely poor but even the richer help the poorer without any govt. incentive to do so. A lot of british people go to places like Koenig to train in computing where it is 50% chaeper and come back to earn better salaries in the UK. It's a Win-Win situation. India benifits and we benefit too. They call it Karma , I call it the mindset of sucessful people.

@ROCKSOLID19 one more thing. When the gas car came out it was considered a death trap and horse drawn carrige was considered a lot safer. They were right...at the time...but nowadays a gas car is conidered many times safer than a horse drwn carrige...faster and more convinient too. EVs will take over...and if we be lazy about it or have traditional stuck up british attitudes towards things someone else will fill the void unless we get off are lazy arses.

By the way, there is an Australian solar power scientist who claims that he can run 95% of australia on solar alone. The governemnt rejected his proposal and he is now overseas. Only thing that needs ot be worked out is how to transition to solar, keeping in mind the loss of jobs. perhaps there could then be a decrease in electricity prices.

This bullshit made just to argue that we need petrol engines cars. There are many electric cars that are faster than todays supercars.
Next thing. Yes, it may be as bad for the environment if we keep on using coal, gas etc as our source for electricity. this can be replaced by other sources, such as wind, solar, geo-thermal, wave power etc. The options are limitless.
One more thing. If the world had spent as much investigating these forms of car s and power as we have on oil ect...
