Planet Migration theory should be called fact now. I wrote a paper back when I was in HS in the late 80's about that theory. These retarded theories taught to our young, that make it seem like there are train tracks around the Sun and everything is nice and neat is bullshit. 1/4 of Newton's theories are junk. It's time to rewrite the school books. Even Michio Kaku knows it.
im not doubting there is life besides our planets in the universe, i strongly believe there is, but the odds of communication between us and "them" would probably be impossible. I mean we (humans) have evolved around animals and species we cant communicate with. I mean think of trying to tell a snake a story or what emotions feel like. The conditions of evolution or w/e for that ET life would be so different than ours they wouldnt see the world and universe as we do. think about it :P
well yeah, communication is the issue here. however, a species smart enough, or at last one we see as such, should be able to exchange very basic communication with us. for your analogy with the snake: a dog can understand what us, because we trained him, but we only make basic communication, not dialogs. an alien or us might and should be able to comprehend at least basic stuff AFTER a long time of mutual study of each other. but, for your analogy, it could be generations away from that.
@Sirafrican observation and theory. We say the continents are shifting because of plate tectonics, although they only move inches a year. You can't go and watch it happen. we know because of the tiny amounts of movements that we can measure, and speculate over long periods.
