Hola, amigos. It's 5/4, compadres. The first TV theme in 5/4 time was Jerry Goldsmith's "The Man from U.N.C.L.E" (1st season). Ironically, in the second season Lalo re-arranged the opening theme in 4/4 (with bongos)! Goldsmith was peed off, but it won the Emmy. In 1966, it was back to 5/4 in "Mission"...then Paul Desmond of "Take Five" complained...in TV Guide.

Para aquellos que hablan de problemas ritmicos de Lalo, me parece que lo que tiene en realidad es "Mal de Parkinson o Alzheimer", debe ser "Parkinson" por la curvatura de la espalda. Una verdadera pena si es así, ojalá encuentren pronto la cura para estos males. es extraño pero sí que Lalo tiene problemas con el tiempo. no se qué le pasa, desde luego siempre se caracterizó por un sentido del ritmo brutal, bien como compositor bien como interprete. Parece que está dormido en este video. me encanta lalo por cierto

Yea. You can see his fallen shoulders after his solo ended. I think he shouldn't have shown a disappointed expression right after performing his solo because it negatively affected my perception of his performance the first time I viewed it. I will be honest. In the subsequent times that I viewed his solo, I thought that it was alright actually. He should have enjoyed it, being light-hearted and confident.
