great song. Just bookmarked the radio station link from EdRingwald as well. Hopefully the show is still on on Sundays. I will check it out at noon Central time
Tomorrow, I will be uploading the very very first Yankovic 78 on the 1938 YANKEE LABEL. Zidana Marela polka and Always Happy Polka. Very very rare record indeed. The 78 record is very very hard to come by! ! !
I remember America's Polka King very well. In fact, I have a cassette of Frankie Yankovic featuring this same tune!
When Frankie Yankovic passed away in October 1998, he lived his retirement years in New Port Richey, Florida (a community about an hour's drive north of St. Petersburg). We have a polka radio show here in the Tampa/St. Petersburg area (which is still airing on Sundays from 2-4 PM on WMNF 88.5 FM) and I remember when they played a lot of Yankovic's music when he passed away.
He had a label of his own and issued a couple of records I believe. He issued under the name Slovene Folk orchestra because his mother had bought him an accordion without his father knowing it :o)

Didn't know he had his own record label back then. Didn't even know he was playing back then. This is really precious stuff, thanks for posting
